I love Northtown Coffee! Great coffee, food, and vibes!

I loved this place! The staff were so kind, and the little house look was so cozy! We had coffee and some breakfast treats from the bakery. They had an option between light or dark roast, which I really appreciate!! The eats were really good and tasted homemade with love ♥️ 10/10!

I was very excited about the decoration in the coffee and matcha, but there was none. even though we told him we were there for the photos. The service is also too bad and the coffee is average.

Came in and the lady taking our order was extremely unfriendly right off the bat. Coffees came out quick and I were great but the food (burrito and waffle) took 30 min to come out…? After asking what the ETA was for the food the guy working was kind and offered a punch card and apologized about the wait but the lady was again just rude. For context it wasn’t busy in there.

Loved the vibe and location of this place that we found via Google on our way through town. Coffee was great, bagels and cream cheese were good enough. Service was prompt, but person who took our order was a bit distracted and had trouble tracking specifics of our order (which was not complicated).

The friendliest service and a really sweet atmosphere. Holly was so sweet – even remaking my wife's coffee when she realized she'd placed a different order. Coffee was terrific, and we also ordered the breakfast burrito + blaze’s bagel, both of which were awesome. We'll be making this our staple next time we come back to town, looking forward to it!

Northtown coffee is my favorite hangout spot in town. The coffee is superb and their drink selections are amazing and unique. The service is off the charts and makes me feel cared for and special. I love This little gem! From the matcha rose lattes to the breakfast sandwiches, to the cute hobbit door, it’s the perfect spot for coffee time. The owner even sponsored my event when I was in town.

The staff at Northtown Coffee is just what you would expect in a small town. They talk to you like your old friends, and they know how to make an amazing cup of coffee. First place I ever tried a mushroom blend, which was fabulous. Go for the coffee stay for the small town community vibe

Great cappuccino

every single time i go to Northtown for coffee, i am never unsatisfied. the coffee is always delicious (AND they have coffee ice cubes! in the shape of a honeycomb! it's so cute!!!), and the atmosphere of the inside of the café is SO comfy-cosy. all of the baristas have been incredibly kind and sweet and accomodating, and it's always just such a joy to get to come here. 100% recommend!!

This place is easily my favorite coffee shop in town. The drinks are excellent, and the mimosas are incredibly generous. Seriously, they’re like 80% Champagne. Mother’s is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Arcata. Please do yourself a favor and try it!

Great coffee and food in a beautiful space! Went here three times for coffee and a quick bite while I was in town and Charlie was there each time making very pretty lattes. Everyone was so friendly! The pastries were to die for (must-try danishes) and their colab with Mother’s cooking made for an incredible brunch. Definitely a mainstay of gorgeous Northtown, I’ll be back!!

My go to spot for sitting down with my laptop and having a delicious drink. Lattes are a bit pricey, but worth it for the taste and quality of ingredients. Getting house made coconut milk is included in the price if you’re dairy free! The blueberry muffins are killer, as is the Portuguese rice pudding. I always feel welcomed by the friendly staff, too!

My friend and I shared the Mother's Kitchen Cubano Sandwich and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. They were two of the best sandwiches we ever had!! Also the Matcha Rose latte was delightful!

The egg and potato breakfast bowl at Northtown is absolutely amazing. Always came here for a lavender dream coffee and have tried some food items on the menu, but this one is it. Staff are all so incredibly sweet as well :)

Have been loving the food lately. Anything between croissant breakfast sandwiches to shrimp n' grits- it's all delicious. Great and friendly service. It has quickly become my favorite coffee house in Arcata.

awesome local spot with actually good espresso which is super hard to come by in humboldt!! They have free wifi (sometimes spotty), and a super cute set up indoors and outdoors. They close way too early for being in a college town in my opinion but I make it a habit to go here mornings I’m not in class or at work.

If I could give this coffee shop an extra star I would. Super sweet, local spot with a unique vibe. Kind, patient employees who have awesome music taste. The perfect place to grab a drink and something to eat to fuel yourself for some study time with their free WiFi! Indoors and outdoor seating too! How epic. I love it here! 110% recommend.

Northtown Coffee is part of my daily routine. The staff is awesome, the building is special, and of course the beverages and food are always amazing. High quality ingredients and proper preparation make for a good cup. The super shroom mocha is a special treat!

Amazing people here. So we couldn’t decide. Oracle dog through the arch says, the ‘Cosmic’. And so it was: cosmic. It had shrooms! Just kidding it was delicious and no we didn’t hallucinate the wonderful bathroom mural of Gaia holding the world tree. But I had the compulsion to buy a bunch of mushroom stickers! (Thanks mellow guy from SF for chasing me down w my notebook.)

It was pretty cozy and had a nice local theme, along with the local theme was also thr high price theme. I've seen much worse prices before but theirs are nothing to take so lightly. Overall very nice place though.

Such a great vibe

They are open earlier than other parts of Arcata, and made a nice almond milk cappuccino for me and a chai for my partner in crime. They have a fun rounded “hobbit door” that leads out to their front patio, where there are 5-6 tables to enjoy the weather.

We had a really positive experience at this coffee shop! The barista that helped us made the coffee exactly how we asked and did an amazing job with it! He also made sure that we tried it and that it was the sweetness level that we were looking for which I thought was very considerate. We also got a cookie here that was delicious. I would definitely recommend!

Cozy

Love this place!!! We are HSU alumni and always stop for the best coffee on our trips back. Northtown coffee wasn't there when we were in school, but it is a perfect coffee house to take us back when Arcata was not so busy. They have the best and most unique specialty coffees. Thank you again for the kind and friendly service on our spring break 2021.

Stopped here on our way down south and was so overwhelmed by all the amazing choices on the menu I had to get two drinks for myself and they were both amazing! Matcha, chai, coffee and house made coconut milk... how could I not! Definitely recommend stopping by. Staff were super helpful and friendly will definitely be making this a part of our roadtrip required stops from now on!

I love Northtown Coffee. Try their Green Dragon hot drink (matcha, mate, coconut milk, and honey). Not only are their drinks great, but omg their breakfast biscuit was scrumptious! Oh and the service is really awesome. Great coffee drinks, (or tea), great food, and great people! If there were more than 5 STARS I would give them more!

The open mic poetry is awesome!

Pretty chill place. Love doing work there although I wish they didnt close so early. The poetry night on Tuesday evenings are rad AF and the karoake is cringeworthy AF. Haha. The staff are pretty and chill. I love their outdoor patio its very cute and there are random rainbows that pop up on the deck, it makes me happy.

There is a very nice environment, but the place is very overpriced. It is filled with a lot of college students and is always too full of people. For a very full coffee shop with slow service, their items are not that good and are far too expensive.

This place is the best spot to get coffee in Arcata! The drinks are delicious and the employees are delightful :)
