About a year ago today I had sprained my ankle at work and had trouble with it ever since. I won't go into a tangent here but needless to say, it was becoming pretty clear to me that these people were more worried about making me spend less money as possible from my worker's comp rather than caring about my health. I was never given any treatments, recovery plans, physical therapy or anything. Just prop it and ice it. I had been in pain for months because of this. I could walk but my ankle was always in pain so, finally, I came here to have another set of eyes take a look at it. The change was instant. I felt more cared for and Dr. Derek has been very helpful. I've been coming here for three weeks now and I can already feel a change in my ankle. I've almost forgotten what it felt like to not be in pain. Dr. Derek has given me helpful tips on what I could do at home, set up appointments to treat my ankle, asks me questions on how I'm faring and handles my ankle with such care. I don't know where the one star review came from, they must have something else going on because Dr. Derek has been great. He's a far better doctor than the one I had seen previously. He cares far more than my previous one did and I can feel my life slowly going back to normal now that this crippling ankle is healing. I feel so relieved finding this place full of people who are so kind and caring. It's so hard to find places like that. Don't listen to the one star reviews, even if you're someone who came here and you're feeling pain or something feels wrong after an adjustment, just talk to your doctor and work together to find out what's wrong. It's all about communication. My ankle was hurting real bad one day after a visit so I gave Dr. Derek a call and explained to him what was going on and if I should be worried. He explained that since my ankle had to be readjusted, my body would have to readjust to it which would cause some pain and he even offered to see me that day if I needed to come in. I declined since I had an appointment the next day with him and, sure enough, the pain went away after some rest. So talk to your doctor and don't be so quick to judge. There is going to be some discomfort and pain with readjustments, it's normal, because your body has to readjust as well and relearn how to use muscles that were torn/injured. It's not an instant relief, you have to put work into it and have patience. If you're feeling more pain than before then discuss with your doctor if something went wrong and if it could be fixed or if there's something else going on. I highly recommend coming here if you have old pains that won't go away or experiencing joint pain or stiffness that you are unsure about. I originally came here just to have a doctor look at my ankle and tell me where I should go or what I should do but I ended up with a whole treatment plan and it started my journey to recovery. Less

Went in on Tuesday with terrible lower back pain, they gave me a therapy session with the ultra sound, I felt about 90% better the next day. Went back in Wednesday, was x-rayed, had more therapy and got the BEST adjustment I have ever had! Feeling almost 100% today! Love all the staff that I have interacted with! I recently visited the Dixon Center for Integrative Health during a particularly bad arthritis flare, as an urgent care patient. All I can say is, "WOW." Immediately upon entering the staff made me feel welcome. The wait time was short, and the gentleman who did my intake was very professional, thorough, and caring. From there I met with the Nurse Practitioner, Tamera, who was extremely kind, caring, professional, and she TOOK HER TIME with me. She didn't seem in a rush to get me out of there and didn't just send me home with a bunch of prescriptions. She took the time to listen and really hear me, and we worked out a good plan for some short term relief and also a longer term plan to consider all the aspects of my health. I received a few injections and some laser therapy -- which, by the way, is amazing -- and also met the chiropractors who were both friendly, professional, and caring. I left the facility feeling more hopeful than I had in a long time. Which, as any person with chronic pain/illness knows, is half the battle - having hope. I had immense relief the very next day and have a plan going forward that I feel very confident with. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Dixon. 5 stars and very highly recommended. Less

Dr Dixon has been keeping me straight since 2010. He stays on top of latest technologies. Every time I tweak my back he works it out. Love the PT of TENS and moist heat they use.
