I was visiting Fort Walton Beach over the weekend, Jan 28 until Jan 31. Early Sunday morning at about 5am, i was awoken by a huge noise. When I went outside to investigate I saw a crew of workmen removing trees! My brother, whom I was visiting, approached the men and asked why they were working at 5am. They said that the manager of the company decided to assign them to do the work at this time to avoid creating a traffic problem, and for the safety of the workers. As sympathetic as I am to this reasoning I was surprised that there is no city ordinance that would prevent such work in a residential area, as in my local municipality. We attempted to contact the company from the business card provided by the workers (who also were obviously not thrilled to be working at 5am on a Sunday morning) but were unable to get any response. From my experience with the hard working and dedicated crew it is my opinion that the leadership of Backridge Tree Service are completely oblivious to the needs and desires of the community, and the morale of their field staff. We were so amazed with the speed and skill that the whole crew performed with! Well worth the money! 11 trees removed, stumps removed and one limb cut. Not a single leaf was left, no ruts in the yard, fence not damaged, and sprinkler heads all intact! They worked all day even in the rain! Customer service, sent someone back out the next day to grind a stump, that was hidden in the undergrowt... More
