Before coming I had quite consistent aches in my lower back when sitting for longer than 30 minutes, but after taking their advice on improving posture and having 1-2 months of adjustments, I've noticed considerable improvements when I am sitting for work. I had been treated by 3 other well recommended Blair chiropractors, whose treatments were helpful but not significant enough to force me to quit my job as an audio visual technician, quit exercising entirely, and just pretty much doing anything that would require I turn my neck or look up. I am pretty short so that includes a lot of things. I also started incorporating other alternative therapies like formal physical rehabilitation and feldenkrais therapy. I even got my 200 hour certification to instruct yoga. All had their benefits and I still do them, but Nothing seemed to work. I am only 34 and I felt at least 64. All my MRIs showed that I should not be experiencing pain and was in no need of surgery. Having had such a trying previous experience, I was hesitant to change to this chiropractic office. However, they use a lot of the techniques that Blair offers while incorporating other chiropractic techniques. I stayed with Blair for so long because I did like it but it just wasn’t enough. But the pain did not go away. I had neck pain, pain in my arms and legs, everything hurt. Especially my lower back, hips and feet. I wore night braces on my wrists for carpal tunnel. I wore tendon bands for my elbow pain. I wore a back brace for my back pain. My feet were doing weird things that were causing so much pain and sores on my toes. I was having this awful numbness in both my legs during the day and painful arm numbness at night. I went to physical therapy. I actually told them “I feel crooked, I feel like my hips are crooked” they said that I was straight so I believed them. I did exercises and stretches but it didn’t improve. After a while my dr started to make me feel like it was in my head. I agreed to go on anti depressant medication. I took them for a year. The pain didn’t go away. I felt frustrated and hopeless.
