Just finished my 3hr cpl renewal course online, and although they were upfront that it wasn’t 100 percent necessary I opted to take the course because I felt that it was the responsible thing to do, and the course was thorough and well put together. The information was easy to understand, the online portal worked well and was easy to navigate, and it kept my attention for the whole course. I like that it was self guided study so it fit well into my schedule.

I just took my CPL class last weekend and it was awesome! From segment 1 to segment 2 it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this place to take your CPL courses if you are interested.

I don't remember if I wrote a review already but, I took my CPL class at Detroit arms and I was very impressed. I learned a lot and got updated on laws that I already knew and previous laws I knew about that got changed. the class is fairly priced. They provide lunch, information on law firms for self defense cases, the gun for the class (excluding ammo which was perfectly fine with me), and an endless supply of freshly baked cookies from the owner herself!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Detroit Arms to anybody looking to get a CPL, to renew one they currently have or just wanna learn something about firearms. I just took their all day/women-only class and it was great! Doreen is sweet and sassy, and Matt is fun and down-to-earth/realistic. Lunch was delicious with no skimping, comfortable seats, and the cookies are no joke, they are FABULOUS!!! I was nervous about using a borrowed weapon, and ear/eye protection, but it all worked out great. The guys are Brown Bear were also very helpful and friendly. The entire experience was positive and I would not hesitate taking another class from them and would highly recommend them!

My wife and I took the CCW class together today and it was great! My wife had never touched a firearm before and the instructors were very good with her and the class portion was really good. Thanks to you all. Would highly recommend the Detroit Arms class for a beginner, intermediate or experienced shooters who would like to get their CCW!

best cpl class I ever took. They cover a lot of what is called grey areas in the law for cpl holders. also got lunch and snacks and drinks in the one day 8 hour course.. good people and very friendly

I just took a Saturday CPL class and what a great experience. The instructors were fantastic and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Detroit Arms for a CPL. They will answer any questions that you may have, and explain laws and help you understand your rights. They even serve lunch and Doreen makes fabulous cookies. Thank you so much! Best place to take a CPL class in Metro Detroit! The owner and instructor are very informative and knowledgeable. I thought an 8 hour class would be boring and hard to get through but the instructor kept it going and interesting. Detroit Arms also does a great job applying real world scenarios. 5 stars!
