I had done extensive research into the different materials - granite, quartz, and quartzite - but depending on what the installer had in stock, I got different answers as to how durable each was. Quite honestly, I was nervous about quartzite but Ersan gave me confidence that the stones he stocked were of the highest quality. We opted for sea pearl for the kitchen perimeter and Tash Marine (a rarer soft green to highlight our island. Both have a marbleized look and are gorgeous! we used Tashmarine for the powder room vanity - so elegant! The service at Ilkem is exceptional. Ersan responds promptly to any questions, concerns. Our sinks were a bit different - two Ruvati undercounter workstations, a Ruvati overlay sink, and a Kohler vessel sink. Ersan recommended the negative reveal countertop cutout which looks amazing but we did have to modify our Ruvati wood cutting boards that insert into the sink by shaving the boards - not a big deal but thanks to Ersan, it worked out well! The installation crew was courteous, meticulous and took all precautions in installing these very heavy pieces. Oswaldo instructed us on care and maintenance and made sure everything was done to satisfaction before they left. These guys have been great, and the turn around time has been even better. It was estimated that the granite would take about a week to come. They had it done within 3 days and had it installed. The workers are very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would fully reccomend this company to anyone looking to have the countertops done!

In February 2012 we undertook our first home remodeling and were more than nervous about making a costly mistake. After checking the two leading big box stores, we were never quite satisfied with the granite choices and quotes. It seemed that their process of estimation and measurement, removal of old countertops, and installation required the coordination of several smaller contractors which spread the project over 6 - 8 weeks. Ilkem Granite, on the other hand, oversees the complete job and it couldn't have been smoother or easier! Start to finish required much less time and was less hassle by working one-on-one with Ilkem's knowledgeable staff. (We ordered our appliances through the big box store which was not so easy - didn't tell us about required 4 prong outlets meaning another visit for our electrician and could use the range for another week, appliances came on different dates, wrong type pendants for our ceiling. Major hassle!) The staff at Ilkem helped us in our selection of granite for color and price from their large stock. We never felt pressure to buy from them, even after they moved many slabs so we could pick the perfect one for us. We chose an exotic granite for our countertops and ran it up the full height of the backsplash wall. Ilkem was able to cut the L-shaped portion of the countertop in a single piece, complete with a double ogee border and sink cut out. Their stone cutter and installer was simply amazing, and it's nearly impossible to find the seam on our other piece. We had expected to buy a stainless steel, divided deep under countertop sink and tall faucet. What a surprise when told that our purchase included one of the many they had on display! We learned about Ilkem from a neighbor who was pleased with their recent remodel and purchase from Ilkem. Like them, we couldn't be happier with the quality of stone, workmanship, professionalism, service, and price. We definitely recommend and rate Ilkem Marble & Granite a 10 star business! Less

We shopped out the granite to a few places (used a middleline stone choice) and after receiving a quote from Ilkem and reading the online reviews of the other franchise locations, we made our choice. Other local competitors didn't even bother to return phone calls with estimates. These folks were very professional and the pricing was significantly better from local competitors. I have been living with granite countertops in many homes and the camoflauging technique their installer performs on the seams is incredible! You have to run your fingers over the counter to find it. We are in the process of designing a new kitchen for our home and will be using Ilkem for the granite. Less
