Amazing place to workout at with good trainers and great people to workout with. It keeps you motivated to comeback and workout. If you are like me and try to find reasons not to workout today, this place certainly gives a strong reason to go workout. Big shoutout to all the trainers

So glad I dropped in!! After contacting them via email, I was welcomed at the door by name, showed around the gym, and made to feel very welcome. When class started the coaching staff was engaging, knowledgeable and very friendly. The time during class was used wisely and efficiently. Great gym and looking forward to coming back!!

I really enjoyed dropping in for a class at Crossfit Crown City! The owner, JB, was very responsive to my questions prior to me dropping in and Coach Dex led a fun class! Friendly members and great location— I’ll definitely drop in again the next time I’m in Pasadena.

Its simple. Crossfit Crown City has changed my life. Not in some dramatic way where I lost 100 lbs or came back from the brink of disease, but in a more subtle and approachable way. On paper im a pretty average fellow. I work fulltime, I got bills, family, other hobbies and obligations. Im not a super athlete but I have always tried to keep in shape and Ive always had dreams for my fitness. I worked out for years in cycles of committed attempts at bodybuilding programs only to lose steam, focus, and motivation. Not to mention a general lack of a healthy and realistic relationship to fitness. Ide go months on and months off. I hated the uncleanliness, monotony and judgement I felt in the standard globo-gym. I felt interested in crossfit, but felt it was only for intense athletes and for the wealthy. Finally one day I tried out Crossfit Crown City. Immediately I knew nothing would be the same. JB, the owner, was not pushy like I expected him to be. To the contrary he was nothing but pleasant, warm and inviting. He didn't try to sell me anything. He simply seemed interested in showing me what the gym was all about. After knowing him for a couple years now my respect for him as an owner has only grown exponentially. Ive never met a single person who cares more about his business and passion as JB. He always is looking for ways to improve the gym and bring more to its members whether it be new equipment, community social events, programs to spark motivation and balance, or simply words of encouragement and a sincere appreciation for his clients. So from day 1 JB showed me what the gym was all about. To put it simply: Community and Personal development. Growing as an individual in strength, fitness, general mindset and developing a realistic relationship with fitness by checking the ego at the door, and focusing on truly learning where you stand, safe and proper form, and a real plan to achieve my goals. All while being supported by knowledgeable and approachable coaches that I can truly call my friends and an amazing family of people that are happy to see me and I them. Ive made better and deeper friendships through this gym than in most of my adult life, bc we all push through difficulty together and share a similar mindset of growth and community. Its like a tribe here. Something you dont just go to, to workout in crowded superficial solitude, but to legitimately be a part of something meaningful. And thats what I mean about how Crossfit Crown City has changed my life. Its improved my relationship to fitness. Ive worked consistently towards goals and have made more gains here in months than in literally years elsewhere. I feel comfortable and truly part of a caring, postive, non-toxic community that pushes me to be better at life, not just my fitness. Its helped me better balance my life with nutrition, sleep, work, fitness, and social connection. I truly will never go back to a regular gym ever again and I am already sad for the day I ever have to leave Crossfit Crown City. I hope that day is nothing but years and years away. If you have reservations like I did, whether it be intimidated by the sport, the cost, or anything else, I say dont be. I was too, but it was the best decision Ive made in years.
