Dr. Zach is my primary PT and the work he did on my elbow brought almost immediate relief. He then put me on a strengthening program to prevent the elbow from having recurring problems. 5 stars for Dr. Zach for sure. Dr. Cianna and Dr. Melissa also provided elbow treatment as my schedule had me seeing each of them on occasion. They expanded on the work Dr. Zach was doing to further improve my elbow. Again, excellent team coordination. 5 stars for each of them as well. Dr. Ethan is the primary PT for my back. He started me on a program that brought instant relief. More importantly, however, he got me on a core strengthening and stabilizing program designed to prevent me from having future back problems. Dr. Ethan makes you work, but work is necessary to get good results. He's definitely a 5 star member of the Symmetry team. Finally, Emily and Mckenna are the two amazing ladies at the front desk. I've been coming in for physical therapy for just over three months now (only recently started Chiro) but I've been very pleased with the insight and coaching offered from Dr. Ethan so far! Very nice chiropractor and manager of the clinic definitely 5 stars. Poor communication to patient and bad attitude of the receptionist left a bad impression. First, I called for an appointment with “Dr. X” and asked if they specifically were accepting new patients with my insurance. I was told yes and given an appointment time. While on the phone I asked the receptionist about what techniques Dr. X uses and the receptionist either didn’t have that information or was unwilling to discuss with me and the call was transferred to a chiropractor (not the one I called to see). They explained what techniques the other doctor is trained in. I thought “how nice they are speaking on behalf of the other doctor”. I was then transferred back to the receptionist when I offered my insurance information she declined and said to bring day of. I arrived day of my appointment and turns out was booked to see “Dr. Z” not “Dr. X” like I had asked to see/ planned on. They did not think this is a big deal because “all doctors accept the insurance” however when I specifically research one doctor that I called to book with it feels strange to not be told I was booked to see someone else from the beginning. I really wish this was communicated from the beginning just to be transparent and alleviate anxiety. But I was still willing to see the other doctor since he was nice and knowledgeable. The manager of the clinic and the other chiropractor met with me at the beginning of my appointment to explain that the practice is owned by “Dr. X” but he doesn’t practice at that clinic location. Ok - no big deal- they were nice enough and I didn’t mind as long as they were going to adjust me since that was the whole point of going to a chiropractor. Then I had a physical exam and was requested to take X-rays. I declined the X-rays and the chiropractor was kind enough to offer to still adjust me since my specific issue was visually obvious. I was told that I could pay $20 for the “new patient exam” and $40 for an adjustment even though my insurance covers it all. I said I’d be happy to pay up front if they refund me after my insurance is verified. They said I couldn’t get refunded by them or insurance if I’m adjusted same day and they would need the day to verify my insurance. Again, it is not that hard to disclose this to new patients when they book and I wish this was information the receptionist gave to begin with. The chiropractor said I could come the next day for an adjustment but when I get to the front desk the receptionist tells me the next appointment is the following week. To summarize: •bait and switch chiropractor (no big deal but it adds up when communication is poor over and over) •did not pre-authorize insurance or even call/check insurance during appointment •was not adjusted during my appointment because I wanted to go through my insurance which is what I specifically requested when I called for the appointment •told I could be adjusted the following day then turns out no availability Why did I just spend an hour of my life at this office if they weren’t planning to adjust me? All of this could and should have been communicated on the phone when I called for a new patient appointment. I’ve never heard of a practice being run this way. They’re nice and I’m sure they are good but I walked away with no adjustment and feeling like this was a sketchy experience. Less

I learned the hard way there is a HUGE difference and have since become educated on what to look for and how to screen for the physical therapy I need. I was seeing an excellent PT in Florida and she was kind enough to help me locate a PT in the twin cities that uses a similar modality and was experienced and well educated. Dr. Drew meets those requirements in every way and I couldn't be more pleased with his knowledge of manual therapy and hands on approach to treatment and education. So many PTs will show you how to do exercises and spend the remainder of the appointment watching you do them. I've been to therapists that rarely laid a hand on me and did their assessment by asking me how I feel. Dr. Drew physically assesses me each time and manually checks my range of motion to ascertain my progress. In addition, he is a great listener and pays attention to what I'm telling him. He remembers our conversation from prior appointments which in itself is impressive given how many patients he sees in a week. THEY made an insurance mistake on their end up and didn't notify me until I had several treatments in which costed me additional hundreds of dollars. I came to Symmetry Chiropractic after having upper back pain for a couple of years at least. I had tried out a few other chiropractors prior to coming to see Dr. Jeremy - none of which helped at all. Dr. Jeremy was not seeing the results he wanted after working with me in the traditional chiropractic sense. He offers what is called the Tonal Technique. Think of a guitar string: It attaches to the very top and bottom of guitar and working from both ends is the only way to tune it. Now, think of your spinal cord which attaches at very top and bottom of spine and the rest of your spine is affected by the tone/tension in between. Goal is to find the right tone/tension so the brain and body can be the healthiest version they can be. My body instantly understodd this process and I felt so much better. Before seeing Dr. Nielson, I tried to correct my leg and back pain by seeing both a physical therapist and another chiropractor. Nothing worked. After nine months I was tired of the side effects of the heavy medications that made it hard for me to focus at work. So I signed up for yoga class and had an evaluation by Dr. Jeremy Neilson. He thoroughly explained how my conditions were causing my pain and how chiropractic could help me. I started on a course of adjustments and exercises. I started feeling more balanced and was sleeping better almost right away. Within several weeks I stopped taking my medication to assess the pain level. It was already significantly reduced from when I’d tried a medication vacation a couple of months earlier. I continue to improve and have only occasional mild back pain.
