I had not considered chiropractic treatment, but had tried PT, exercises, bed rest and injections, and nothing helped. I had been nearly immobile for over 6 months, my muscles were atrophying and I was in constant pain. I knew I couldn’t make it a few more months, so I called Westside Chiropractic. I saw Dr. Chris Prewo who asked me to get X-rays. A couple of days later I was there for treatment. On the very first visit, I improved 90%! I never got the surgery! I am back to doing most of the activities I have always enjoyed. I would say that I am 95% better. I see Chris once every week or two as needed. I have been going to see Dr Prewo for almost two years to help correct my back after my hip replacements. He helped correct everything and continues to help keep my back in great shape. I sit a lot for work and seeing him every few weeks really helps with my posture and any pain. I highly recommend this practice.

After my two car accidents, two surgeries, a year of being bedridden, and having the WORST posture, I finally listened to my boss of 8 years and called Westside. The girls at the front desk are amazing, very helpful and also kind, I immediately felt welcome when I walked in the door. My first visit with Dr. Chris Prewo, he did an exam, confirmed that my head was definitely beating the race from the rest of my body, and then sent me for XRays. I went to tolland imaging for the xrays (also very nice there, i waited MAYBE 10 minutes) and they gave me the print outs of the XRays!! Very cool to actually see. I brought these XRays to Dr. Chris, at this point he determines that I should be seen 3x a week. After probably a month of seeing Dr Chris 3x a week, I saw and felt a physical difference in my body. I could get through an entire workday without ending up curled up in a ball on the floor of my office, and I finally was able to get back into yoga and just living my life. Dr Chris opened my eyes to the importance of spinal care and also the importance of preventative medicine. If your mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and so on have had bad backs, why would you just want to wait until you also have a "bad back" when instead you can use chiropractic therapy to work to prevent the issue. I have also been seeing Michael, the massage therapist. To put it shortly this man has also changed my life. I try and get a massage every week and a half, the pricing is very reasonable. especially compared to typical massage pricing. He is in no way just a masseuse; this is a person who knows the human body, and works alongside the chiropractic doctors to help heal, and strengthen his patients. I have been to MANY doctors, this is different. This is something you need to want, and fully commit to, but if you do - I promise you that you will see and feel the results. I injured my back during the early summer of 2017 after doing some construction work around the home. My symptoms were discomfort related, not pain, in my left side lower back with numbness on the left side of my abdomen. The discomfort got progressively worse leading to difficulties with sitting, standing, walking, driving and sleeping. X-rays and an MRI showed spine imbalance, nerve damage, muscle damage and some minor disc damage. A friend of mine highly recommended I seek the services of Dr. Prewo at Westside Chiropractic. He was a former patient of his due to a back injury and is now 100% healed. I was reluctant, never being a fan of chiropractic care, but decided to give it a try. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr. Prewo is a wealth of knowledge. I never knew how important the spine/core is to the entire body. He used a combination of techniques to get me back to good health. My plan involved OV treatments, initially 3x week. I am now down to 1x per every two weeks. I did seek a highly qualified Physical Therapist and Message Therapist which helped me understand the importance of stretching and core strengthening. This has been a life changing experience for me. I'm vested in my health and greatly appreciate Dr Prewo's engagement and working with me to set expectations and keep me informed through the process, He used a combination of assessments, my feedback, and our conversations to customize a plan back to healthy activity. The plan involved a treatments/office visits and activities such as stretching, strengthening exercises...and then swimming, cycling and running. This was my first experience with back issues and using the services of a Chiropractor. I believe that the path I chose, using Dr Prewo's services, was the best, providing me the quickest route back to health and a foundation to ensure these issues don't return.
