I called this office from Idaho on Aug 3rd to make arrangements for my injections of Eylea because I have wet macular degeneration. I require injections in both eyes every 6 weeks. Any longer between shots and my retna bleeds. I did everything right, including transferring my insurance to MT starting Nov 1st. I am also approved for the Eylea program that pays for the injections if my insurance do... More

I received a call the day before my injection telling me that unless I came up with a large payment for the office visit fee up front, I could not be seen. Now I have to start the process over. I have had to get another referral and have to wait to make an appt after it is recieved. My husband and i live on a fixed income. At the final hour I was left without the care I need to prevent blindness or vision loss. I have not had a shot in my left eye since Sept 27th and now will probably have to wait over a month for an appt with another optomologist. I am a realist. Had I known I could have saved the money or made other arrangements in time to get my injections as needed. It's not right that I was informed less than 24 hours before my scheduled appt, especially when I made this appt more than 3 months in advance. All you did was waste my time and may cause me to suffer vision loss. It's all about the money right? Less

We had to wait two hours for my surgery, but after that, everything went well. The staff was very caring and the surgery was interesting, to say the least! I loved Dr. Switzer. He did a great job of answering my questions and explaining the procedure. My biggest complaint is that I was referred to this clinic and was told I would likely have to have a laser procedure. When the office called to schedule the appointment, they didn't tell me the length of the appointment of if the procedure would take place that day, until I asked. I followed up with questions about the recovery time. I indicated that I would need to let my work know if there were limitations or if I needed time off. The scheduler indicated that she did not know and said I think there might be some limits to screen time. She didn't offer to check for me or transfer me to someone who might be able to tell me. She did however make it clear that I needed to bring a payment when I came for the appointment. She called me back about an hour later, after visiting with my insurance, to let me know the exact amount that I would need to pay, which was over $1,000. I asked about making a down payment and setting up monthly payments, and she simply said, we don't take payments. The office décor is archaic, which doesn't necessarily impact the service, however, it isn't very inviting. The front staff and the tech, who took me back to the room was not warm and friendly. They were more robotic and business like. Even though the doctor is great, I believe the staff and atmosphere of the office plays a big part in feeling welcomed, appreciated and comfortable. from the paneled walls to the outdated furniture, it caused me to wonder if their treatment equipment was up to date. The exam chair jerked when the Dr. tried to recline me slightly for the procedure. The Dr. mentioned that the office has been there since the 1950's, making me think everything is original from that era. As I said earlier, I liked the Doctor and have been happy with the treatment so far. However, I was not made to feel comfortable by the office staff and the old, unwelcoming décor. Less

On 11/22/2019, I received a call from the eye physicians & surgeons office. Caroline informed me that Debra's quote of $350.00 was incorrect .The procedure would cost around $630.00 dollars.
