The other coaches and students appreciated me at the academy. The decision of my being kicked out was solely decided by Jonathan. There were no examples given of how I was disrespectful inside the academy because that did not happen. It was an emotional and personal decision. As you stated, I am dating your brother and you don’t like that.5. I was actually mistaken when I said enrollment fee. I went back though my messages to double check, and in July of 2022, you were asking me for $499 because you wanted me to sign a new contract and pay first and last months tuition. Prices are still not posted online and as I understand they are subject to change depending on the situation.After this is when I protested about the $499, I stopped paying because you said I didn’t have to. I have a screenshot but I feel it’s a bit much to upload that.Let’s also bring up how a couple of my family members signed up and were paying full price at this time. My Dad for 6 month contract and my brother for 1 year. They both only trained for 2 months but continued to pay. They were happy to support me and the academy. Also not mentioned is all of the work I did for the academy out of kindness.6. If this academy has been open for more than 10 years, why are there not more experienced training partners and fighters ? I wonder what happened to everyone.Puu Muay Thai does teach authentic and traditional technique and has good clinch. I am giving a low star review because of the lack of values and ethics. Several coaches make less than $16/hr including one of the main coaches who recently stopped instructing. If you want to teach privates, the owner will ask for a 60% cut of whatever you charge. I was the only female fighter at the gym from 2021-2023 and the owner (who recently moved to Arizona) kicked me out in September of 2023. No truthful reason was given and all the other coaches were in disagreement, but decided not to say anything due to not wanting to create even more friction with the owner. I also did not get a meeting or a chance to properly talk about what happened on a professional level.I will also mention that after you pay the Initiation fee and sign a contract for your first 6 months (or a year), once that contract ends, you will again be asked to pay another initiation fee. The pricing is not upfront or posted on their website. When I was last asked to pay, it was $499 initiation in addition to the monthly. I was asked to pay this even as a fighter who trained and helped members in the gym. The ethics of the gym owner are non-existent so be careful if you choose to train here. I can’t say anything negative about the Muay Thai other than a lack of experienced training partners, but this is not a problem for you if you are new. Less

Such a great beginning experience. Fun, tough, and welcoming. I thought I would give Muay Thai a shot (I've been curious about martial arts) and I'm so glad I did. I do yoga regularly and I've been curious about gaining more strength and self-defense skills. I really enjoy a community that respectfully fosters growth in one another. The team (and students) at Pu'u Muay Thai really bring that type of growth-centered attitude. I felt so entirely welcomed (despite my obvious fear of being hurt, embarrassed, and simply getting out of my comfort zone) that I would encourage any of my friends to give it a try. The gym is very clean and smells good- they're big on hygiene and safety. All of the gear is high quality and in good condition. There's a variety of different skill-level classes each day. I wish they were open on Fridays or Sundays, but that is literally the only thing I'd change about this gym! I had no martial arts experience before joining, but that was no problem. There's something for everyone here- regardless of skill level. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for a year-long membership just a few weeks after my 1st class. 10/10 highly recommend! Less
