A friend and I took the Salsa 1 class at Laurel Card Latin Dance and it was amazing! I recommend this class for anyone who is interested in just learning more about salsa like how to fallow the beat, how to turn, where your hands go and your "shine" moves (dance you can do when your partner lets go and its you can kind of do what ever dance move you want). I've talked about learning salsa for years ans this class just made me more excited to keep learning more and practicing. This class is also perfect for students becuase its once a week for one hour... its a great study break! Less

I’ve been taking classes at Laurel’s studio for about eight months now. There are several things that I enjoy about it. First of all, they are fun ! Ample time is given to assimilate new moves. The classes start on time and end on time. Different levels are available, so you don’t end up taking classes, which are too easy or too hard for you. There’s a monthly studio party where you can practice with all different levels students , as you feel comfortable. The instructors are nice and helpful, and they’re neither too lenient or too harsh in giving feedback. All in all, I feel that I’m learning a lot, I made a lot of progress and I’ll continue to take classes here for the foreseeable future. Thanks! Less

She is a talented dancer and knowledgeable instructor who makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable, no matter where you are on your dance journey. This is a wonderful studio to take lessons! Laurel, Tracy and the rest of the instructors provide so much support during the lessons and break down learning into manageable steps.
