Never done BJJ before. Coach Don and coach Nicholas are great. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. I use BJJ as my primary workout a few times a week and it has really helped me to get more fit and even lose some weight in my first few months. I signed the whole family up. I started training at The Martial Arts Laboratory soon after they opened. I was one of the last people that should have been setting foot in a place like this. But what I found was shocking: I found an instructor that understood where I was, and was willing to help me move forward: everything from diet, to what training schedule would be optimal for my goals. And rather than teaching a standard format, Professor Turnage teaches to my strengths, while also working with me to overcome my weaknesses.
