We had many companies provide a quote, Chinook exteriors being the only one who said adding the 1 1/2” under the new vinyl was minimal extra work. They did a great job and they got it done faster than I was expecting, the only delay was waiting for Mother Nature to cooperate because we had a good snow fall recently.The crew was great - they were courteous and professional and talked over any potential issues they noticed and offered solutions based on their trade expertise.Usually when I call contractors for work on my house, I find I don't get very good service. Can anybody relate? Sometimes they don't call back, sometimes they say they will do the job and never show up, and sometimes I just get the feeling that it's a hassle for them to even come by - like they don't want my business ("Well, we can do it, but ...)" For example, with the gutters I wanted to get done, I called 3 other companies: one got me a quote and I told them to go ahead, but they never showed up! Can you believe that. Another took way too long to get me a quote, and another never returned my phone call.I got three quotes back in total and all in the basic ball park, maybe a few hundred dollars give or take - Who cares, that's not even the point. The quote price is important - and Chinook had a competitive one - but arguably more important is the quality of service and the responsiveness. Do they actually care? Are they reliable, are they even going to show up? I will pay for good service - and that's exactly what I got from Chinook Exteriors. He was the definition of a tradesman. Prompt, friendly, experienced and very courteous of the house and trees surrounding it. Both Dean and Jean-Francois were determined to get to the bottom of the issue and make sure we were satisfied. Chinook Exteriors replaced all of our eavestroughs for us last fall and we had an excellent experience. The work was very professionally done and the contractors were great to deal with. So it was causing the water to overflow and as it re-froze, it created an icy patch on the walk way and ice build-up above the garage. We had this same issue before we got all new eavestroughs, so we were stumped on what was causing it. We called up Jean-Francois at Chinook Exteriors, and he couldn't have been better. He took the time to come by to take a look at the issue and came up with a few different solutions for us. Chinook Exteriors ended up replacing that downspout and re-positioning it so that it was exposed more to the sun, and it was free of charge. I think this speaks volumes about the company, and the owner Jean-Francois. It's hard to find reliable contractors these days, but you can trust these guys. They obviously take a lot of pride in there work and won't leave you hanging if you have a problem. Even in our case well after the job was done, over half a year later. They clearly stand behind their customer satisfaction guarantee. Jean-Francois asked that we let him know how it goes (so far the new downspout has been working perfectly) and to not hesitate to reach him next winter if a problem arises. Less

We must have went through 10 jugs of ice melt last year alone. Needless to say I wish we would have called Chinook Exteriors sooner!! From start to finish it was such an excellent experience. Jean-Francois came our house to do our free quote. He was so friendly and professional, and his quote was so reasonable for the amount of work needed, that we decided right off the bat that we wanted to go with Chinook Exteriors. Jason came out to install the new eavestroughs, downspouts, splash guards and drip edge above the garage. He was so nice too and did such a beautiful job. Our eavestroughs look like the ones on the new homes now - actually better! I really like how they run along the fence in the backyard - so modern and much more efficient. They also added little straps on the eavetroughs so they fold neatly for mowing the lawn. Everything was cleaned up perfectly too.
