Joe and his crew completed 90-95% of our project (mostly a patio) back in November/December and said they’d “of course” come back in the spring to complete the work. Joe asked us to pay the remaining 50% of the contract because we were the only work they had at that point in the season and, since it was the week before the holidays, he wanted to “take care of [his] guys.” My husband and I thought it was a nice sentiment, so we agreed - though, I did email an outstanding completion checklist to set clear expectations for the spring. I’ve texted, called, and emailed for 3+ months to no avail. So, keep in mind that even if he does complete your project, his one-year warranty means nothing! I will gladly revise this review if he reaches out and we come to a satisfactory resolution, but as of now, my next steps are filing a complaint with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, contacting the AG’s office, and if needed, filing a small claim for the amount I’ll need to pay a different contractor plus compensation for my time and stress. Joe has worked for us twice. We chose him first because he had the best solution for our drainage problem. We were delighted with the result which exceeded expectations. He’s just finished landscaping the front of the house and, again, has done an outstanding job. He has an excellent design sense and can be left alone to complete the work, or he can take your input and add his own expertise. His crew is polite and very hardworking.
