Our daughter has now been training with James Reed for six years and has enjoyed every minute of her time there. The thing that has always stood out to us about the club is, how well planned the lessons are. The lessons are varied but most of all they are fun and the level of expertise is outstanding. The club has made a real positive impact on our daughter, developing both her confidence and social skills immensely. She has been given opportunities to compete in national championships with the highlight for her being, participation in the World Championships for the first time this year. I cannot recommend this club highly enough to anyone looking to participate in a martial art. My son was in class for the first time. Loved it said the kids were very helpful and the atmosphere in the place is fantastic. He wants to attend classes and I want my son to gain confidence which is low. That's why we will stay here and my son will attend these activities on a regular basis :)

Our son has really enjoyed the classes and he looks forward to them. The classes have helped him with his balance and coordination and I believe his self confidence too! It’s a great atmosphere in the classes and everyone enjoys the variety of activities (key for our son )The moves the instructors do are skilful ( badass ) so these sessions are a complete win for us. Such a professionally ran class. My son attended a different instructor class before we found James Reed and it was so unstructured it put me off for a while. James class is structured but fantastic fun for the kids and so inclusive. The kids always rush into the class and are always happy and smiling leaving. Have nothing but praise. Recommended to everyone and anyone interested in TKD.

My son started TKD during lockdown attending the online classes which he really enjoyed. Since in person classes have started my son has grown in confidence and looks forward to his classes. James and his team are very welcoming and super supportive to all who attend. I would highly recommend these classes to build confidence, make friends and learn new skills!

My daughter started about 1 year ago and loves going to the classes. She is 8 yrs old, the classes helps her self confidence and fitness. It's great to see at the gradings how well she is doing but also how respectful she is and how seriously she takes the class. Instructors are all great.

I started when this club opened in Rutherglen back in 2013, it has helped me lose weight, make new friends, compete and win championships, boost my confidence and the list could go on and on. Highly recommend this group.

The classes are excellent value for money and Mr Reed and Mel genuinely care about the students. Despite lockdown they have continued to do twice weekly zoom classes throughout. I tried another tkd class before commencing this one and I found it very very busy and wasn't sure how useful my son found it, I then tried Mr Reed and was very impressed by the structure, guidance and class sizes. A world class fighter teaching self-defence. You cannot go wrong by visiting this club! As a member of the Welsh team and a 4th degree black belt, I can honestly say that James is equally impressive as a coach and a World Champion in sparing.

My daughter Lucie attends james classes she loves it, she won the medal that's given away weekly to kids in the class for various things such as improvement, bravery etc! She was as proud as punch on Friday at receiving this! Great experience and exercise for kids, whilst learning a great sport xx
