I hired Allanis to repair water damaged basement. They initially came out to scope work as scheduled and started work with in reasonable amount of time. Drywall work was fantastic. Crew that installed vinyl plank flooring did a great job. Carpet installer did good job but did not bring enough carpet to complete a closet. Another crew sent to do some miscellaneous work was sloppy and careless. They were sent back to redo some work but for some reason would not do it all so I resorted to doing it myself. Overall, working with Allanis was a bit on the difficult side. Poor communication between what needed to be done and their sub-contractors led to some issues. I had to repeatedly ask for information and would eventually give up. Inaccurate and incomplete estimates led to other problems. They did take responsibility for it but it led to my spending more money on something I would not have done had the estimates been correct and complete before work began. Biggest fiasco was around installing some cabinetry. After their installers, who were great to work with, assembled one piece it was clear it was not going to work in the space it was to be installed in. I had to scrap that piece of the project. I feel if Allanis had engaged their cabinet installers from the beginning to help with the design it would have been obvious from the start it was not going to work. I had repeatedly ask for what cabinet sizes were available so I could measure it all out but they just would not send me any info. And to top it off, they did not even come with all the correct cabinets to begin with. They did take back all the cabinets that were not assembled but I got stuck with and had to pay for an obnoxiously large pantry cabinet. Worst part was that I had to go thru the itemized work items and request credit, which they did give, for work they did not do. Less

We worked with Whitney for new floors downstairs, drywall and paint after a water leak. We were very happy with the work crews sent out to our house for painting the flooring downstairs. When we had a problem, Whitney had her team make it right which we really appreciated. We are very happy with the end result and how quickly they were able to get it all done.

I highly recommend Allanis Construction. I was having such terrible luck with contractors, but my luck changed once Allanis took over the job. The owner, Pablo, and his crew were true professionals, and their work was excellent. Alex and Francisco were the painters, and they did an amazing job – they were so quiet and respectful, always on time, and the finished product was fantastic. Roberto and his team who worked on the floors were incredibly diligent, and their care and attention to detail was very apparent. Both crews have been working with Allanis for a while and were very trustworthy – I found that other contractors often use day laborers, so you never know who’s coming into your house. They took the time to properly protect and prep the entire house before starting work, and when the work began, they were very careful to not damage anything throughout the house. Pablo was in contact with me throughout the whole process, and he worked with my insurance to make sure everything was taken care of and covered. Once the work was finished, he made sure to address all of my concerns during the punch out process, even if they were very minor. Pablo and team did an excellent job replacing a section of dry wall. They were fast and highly skilled. It looks like there was never a section that needed replacement. I would not hesitate to use Pablo for reconstruction, basement build out, kitchen/bathroom renovations, painting, flooring.

Two employees came out and in a few hours had all the doors closing square and parallel with the seals. I honestly believe the doors never operated this well. Doors that I had to lift and pull into place are now perfect. Doors that were dragging and had to force open I now have to remember to just open lightly with my hand.
