When the project was being completed Billy and his team were very quick to answer phone calls and text. The wall is sturdy and beautiful and updated the look of the house! The parking pad was poured in September and in October we already had a crack in the concrete and it even crossed over 2 control joints. I asked for someone to come and look at the cracks. Billy said he would come out and look at it with the concrete guys. Billy showed up a week later but no concrete guys. After MULTIPLE text in December he finally came back and looked at it the beginning of January and told us that in the contract that they don't guarantee concrete from cracking but he would tear it back up and charge us at cost (which was around $3500 more dollars to redo it). He also said he would talk with the concrete guys and see if they could put an epoxy in the crack to help it from getting bigger or they could possibly put on a thin layer of concrete overtop of the old to fix it. He said he would get back to us in a week. Its been over a month and a couple of text from me and he is not responding. I would recommend this company for stone work but not for pouring concrete and do not expect a response after they are paid. Less

Not only were they super on time, but the crews were so respectful of our property and home. They even cleaned up after other vendors and left our backyard in pristine condition. The work is beautiful and we are so happy with the results. Even though we had not planned on doing anything additional to the yard, these guys have made us want to make more improvements because of how great they were. During a court hearing, Lake Norman Turf stated they closed and that the General Contractors License was not Lake Norman Custom Stones License, it belongs to a Corporation in Raliegh. They are using another company's Corporate License. Lake Norman Custom Stone is not a licensed and bonded contractor. These people met with the magistrate before the hearing. State Attorney Generals Office was appal... More

He raised all prices after starting work (I don’t have enough concrete for the driveway so I need another $3,000 to finish it; we ran out of mulch so we need another $1200 to finish it, you need two walls built now,etc). Where we needed a sidewalk replaced and he quoted us, the sidewalk was the f... More

Where we needed a sidewalk replaced and he quoted us, the sidewalk was the footer for the stairs and it tore the brick stairs off the front of our house - another $2800 for stairs ). He failed to put curbs on the driveway pad as outlined in the agreement so said there was a discount on the stairs he wrecked (not likely). The worst is the pad and sidewalk out back on the hill in our yard. My wife and I told him the slope in the sidewalk they poured was going the wrong way (towards up the hill as opposed to sloping with the run off down hill). He said we wouldn’t have a drainage issue and I told him it would. He finally agreed to install a drain (after we had to go buy one) and again said there would be no drainage issue. With all the rain we have had the drain filled with mud and there was mud all over the outdoor pad and a huge puddle of water on it. When we sent Billy Scott the picture and told him that the issue with the side walk was as we had said, he blamed it on us for not building more walls and steps and was happy to come give us a quote for the work. No thank and we will never use or refer him to anyone again. He was not once willing to cover any of his mistakes and now it will cost us even more money to have someone come out and redo the work to fix the issues (replace the sidewalk with the proper slope down the hill. Buyer beware Correction : Billy Scott wore Lake Norman Turf Shirt, had all their trucks with Logo on site for work and invoiced us under Lake Norman Custom stone. He is now texting and threatening to sue us for slander saying Lake Norman Turf didn’t do the work. Real Stand up guy. Sent from my iPhone Less

called and spoke to Billy confirmed the date and time texted a reminder, he never mowed, after a long trip the last thing I wanted to do was mow. Maybe on a contract and set time each week, would have showed. I am disappointed.... More
