Our second visit to this site and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The hosts, James and Penny are helpful, friendly and flexible in the way they accommodate the needs of clients. They are professional yet friendly in a way that makes you feel part of the family. We have stayed in a log cabin on site and also one of the cottages. They are roomy, well equipped and very comfortable. The position of each allows one to fee a sense of privacy despite there being other accommodation around you. The cabins and cottages are set in a beautiful space ideal for dog owners and families with children. There are safe, open grassed areas within the compound ideal for dogs and children to be exercised. Next to the site there are also walks of varying lengths which are flat and perfect for a longer leg stretch. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site to couples and families. Less

They all said how comfortable, clean and faultless the properties were and will be wanting to stay there again whilst visiting. We stayed in Kingfisher lodge, it was lovely and clean and peaceful with plenty of outside space for the dogs to run around. It was lovely to be close to nature and see the wildlife at the lodge, swallow nests, deer and hares through the windows. What a find! On arrival the lodge was absolutely immaculate, the owner came and spoke to us and was very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the hot tub perfect. Such a lovely welcome to Yorkshire. Having returned to England with two small dogs - renting fully furnished accommodation was extremely difficult. A comfortable log cabin in a country farm environment was perfect. James kindly went out of his way to extend our accommodation when a house sale fell through. Such a lovely welcome to Yorkshire. Having returned to England with two small dogs - renting fully furnished accommodation was extremely difficult. A comfortable log cabin in a country farm environment was perfect. James kindly went out of his way to extend our accommodation when a house sale fell through. Loved the outside space. 2 adults 4 kids (mainly teenagers) and a puppy had an great time! The lack of WiFi and the massive outside space made us spend quality time together playing rounders, chasing our puppy, enjoying the hot tub, eating roast dinners and watching family films! ! A... Our family has just booked again for the fourth year running. A great place to unwind, with lots of great walks. And very convenient for York.
