Barry is passionate about his work, his videos is what convinced me, and you get exactly what you pay for. BCR is not cheap, but you get what you pay for out there, If you want quality, there is no way around it, you simply have to pay for it.Every basement has its challenges, there’s no such thing as a flawless project, but what I can say is that when issues did come up, Barry made it right, he absolutely fixed every issue that came up. The foreman who was on site every day, His name was Chevon, Being a contractor, He was an absolute delight to work with. Barry has a great team, he managed all the trades, and now that everything is all done, which, by the way was done on time, This is a contractor, you can actually trust, He doesn’t play games, he does Quality work, and even upgraded a few things, which I appreciate very much. I would not hesitate to use BCR again in the future.

Barry, Chevon and their team did a wonderful job renovating our basement, including a main room, bedroom, and bathroom. It cost what they said it would, the work started on-time and they finished even a little earlier than planned. Great experience overall, the results are excellent, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an extensive basement renovation.

We contracted Quacy of BCR Design Build Inc to do a basement renovation which included installing a new bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, bedroom, and storage. Site supervisor Chevon did an excellent job of coordinating the many sub-contractors to ensure that the project kept on schedule. As a result, our renovation project was completed on schedule which is something you don’t hear very often with home renovations. The sub-contractors showed up when expected and completed their work in a professional manner. We were very happy with the completed basement renovation, the quality of work and the attention to detail. We would definitely recommend BCR Design Build for any home renovations you are considering. It was a real pleasure dealing with Quacy and his team.

Three companies were invited to quote on my sound room. Barry did his homework and came up with the most detailed and comprehensive quote. As the project proceeded both Barry and I came up with enhancements. It was truly an enjoyable and collaborative process. The project was handled professionally and on time. I would recommend BCR for any home renovations.

The team at BCR Design Build did such a phenomenal job with our basement reno it was a no-brainer to have them do the renovations on the main floor. We were still out of province and there was alot of work to be done and we also had to push forward our move in date. Quacy listened to all our concerns and worked with our budget. I was a bawling mess when I saw how beautiful our home was after the reno, it was like a brand new home. He even surprised us by added his own special touches and that meant the world to us!

Are you looking for a quality, dependable and affordable contractor for home renovations? BCR Design Build Inc. is your answer. I engaged their services in the fall of 2024 to build an “In Laws” suite in the lower level of our home. From the original consultation to project completion inspection, Quacy and his team were incredibly professional throughout. Through the design aspect, we articulated our needs and Quacy provided recommendations and rationale through the whole design phase. Once complete, he prepared a quote and project plan, with deliverable dates, to review and approve. Once approved, the Project began on schedule. The team of professional trades showed up each day as scheduled, and were courteous and considerate to the fact that there were family members living in the upper levels of the house. At the end of each day, the work space was cleaned up and left in a safe state, for the next days work. During the selection of furnishings, we decided on an upgraded countertop. Quacy quickly put in a minor change order for review and approval, and that order was placed. That change was easy, and did not impact the final delivery date. The final inspection was nothing short of incredible. Although we had seen the progress throughout, the reveal was spectacular. Everything was in its’ place (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer) and all the kitchen cabinetry and counters were amazing. Just like the drawings and our mental images. For those new people who are looking for contractors.. you can hopefully learn form my experience. This is gonna be long but hope it helps from my experience. Honest no bs review out here I had started researching about basement work from 2020 during the covid .. prices were reasonable from 80k to 100k for doing a 2bed +1 den with a walkout basement and fence, (pictures are all posted up) I had three to four people come and give me a quote. All were close range and I choose Barry Quacy for the work cuz he was the only one person who has shown me his work with the basement he was working on around my area. Price went up significantly after covid 2022 my estimate was from 130k with taxes came up to 160k ,remember its for tearing down the old basement to making a new one, including the separate entrance and dug out stairs. The team showed up at first everything was smooth ,the drawings , the architect work , my project was to be completed October end of the month . it dragged all the way to December 1st week , I did add a washroom reno , which they thought would be better fort tenants to see and use . Looking back now 2024 after almost 2 yrs ..should have check on them every single day ... Fastforward 2024 : we were having cold air leaks in the basement. We message them with photos of thermostat from upper level, ground level and basement , while basement reading 4 to 5 degree off from the thermostat reading. Having lot of potential tenants walk away. 2024 Soundproofing that they have install ,is not upto par , what was recommended and what has been install is not worth it at all . Do your research and not let the contractor tell you or recommend you too much. We could literally hear everything going on upstairs... one of the worst sound work every done by Barry and his team ..every day I have my tenants messaging. 2024 Sump pump broke down after 1 and half yr of using it. Found out they use a cheap one from home depot . Electrical circuit/outlet was always tripping out . Called an electrician of my own .. and found out the electrical panel which has 20 breakers ..only 5 of them were used ...and 4 to 5 outlet were used for one breaker ... Which keep tripping out outlet .. 2023 dec 12 , we are facing issue with washroom leakage at the bathroom (which was torn down by Barry Quacy team) and been calling Barry and leaving voice and text message, he does not seem to want to pick up calls .. even though its still under warranty .. they seem to be dragging this issue. It get frustrating when you have tenants complaining, and Barry not fixing these issue. SO be very aware… of contractors and other ppl reviews… do your own research… as for Barry im still waiting on your calls ..AND left u TONS OF messages
