They start out in the beginning very enthusiastically. You are drawn in by this wonderful sales pitch telling you all they can do for you and the money they will save you. They have a tremendous staff turnover. The person that originally worked on getting us to sign on left shortly after we contracted with Easier Accounting. In a year we had 4 different accountants because they kept leaving the company. This meant going over our business each time with someone new. There would be weeks where we would wonder why our accountant wasn't responding to our questions. Several times we caught errors ourselves that had to be fixed. Over and over again we were promised that they would make things right and improve our service. Then, early December, we get a short email saying our companies are not a fit for them and they are disengaging from our contract. Mere weeks before year end with no notice!!! We were looking for a new accountant but after spending so much money already we were waiting until after tax season. Be careful before signing on with this company. Less

I am not someone to go around leaving negative reviews however this situation has been a source of a lot of stress and I think it’s right for people to know. I was a tax client and besides the sign on process and help setting up my business feeling a bit shady (I signed up under NexGen tax and now it’s changed to Easier Accounting as far as I know - look at NexGen reviews), the first year of tax prep I had zero issues. This year I submitted my taxes to be prepared in February, and found out a month later (by reaching out myself) that they had not been prepared. I sent multiple emails and texts and never received a reply multiple times. On the phone I was promised things would be handled and they weren’t. More texts and emails with no reply or empty promises. Eventually I called and refused to hang up until I got a confirmation they were being worked on. Thanks to one good customer service rep and the accountant himself, my taxes were submitted, literally on the tax deadline. I am now having issues with the IRS - all of which could’ve been avoided had my taxes been prepped and submitted well on time when I submitted them in February. Mostly because of the poor treatment from customer service - ghosting and no effort at all being made to remedy their mistake of not working on my taxes when I submitted them - I cancelled my account after the tax prep was completed and requested a refund for any months I’ve paid for already that go toward the next calendar year’s taxes, I was told I would be contacted months ago about a refund and haven’t been even after sending multiple emails. For me the point of tax prep is to relieve stress and this definitely has not. Less

For context, I am a new business owner and LOST BIG MONEY with Easier Accounting because they failed to apply for my S-Corp throughout 2022 and failed to file my taxes on time in Spring of 2023. Unreal- I am 100% certain I would have continued to lose money had I not closed my account. Terrible experience. Everything was going fine for over a year I had complete trust in them. There was minor communication, but I assumed that they were doing their part since I was paying so much. On November 2022 I found my dream house and put in an offer which was accepted. The loan company needed my past taxes. I called Easier to get copies. They told me they would have them the next day for me. The next day came and nothing. I called them the following day asking again and nothing. I went on the IRS website to get a copy and to my disbelief there was nothing filed. I called them highly upset! They explained to me they dropped the ball and I fell through the cracks. They were going through a leadership change. As a company owner and as they said I was a “high profile account” was such a poor excuse. Not only did I miss out on my dream house, but I had to deal with the stress of IRS coming after me and penalty fees. For days I couldn’t sleep or eat. I was scared that I would get a call from the IRS. I still stress about the IRS giving me an audit notice. Easier didn’t offer many solutions other than they were working to get my taxes finished. I didn’t have faith in how they would finish 5 company tax reports in a short amount of time. They didn’t offer a refund, but they offered a discount for the next few months by their manager. Which is a joke…Considering. From 2021 to 2023 I have spent over $73,708. That was the worse decision I have made. They have ruined my reputation as I brought them several multiple million-dollar companies to do their taxes. Which were all in the same boat as me. I do not recommend them! Less

After not having my 2021 taxes even started by September of 2022, I took it upon myself to do a rough estimate of what I thought I owed and sent it to them...they then sent me back the same number and told me my taxes were done and to pay that amount. By that point I was so fed up and ready to have something paid to the government that I wrote a check and paid. No deductions, no advice, not even a phone call. I've lost sleep, I'm on meds now due to the stress, and I'm paying a reputable firm to backtrack and do all of my taxes and finances again for 2021 and 2022. I recommended these crooks to friends, family, and business partners, who were smart enough to fire these crooks very early on as they saw that absolutely nothing was being done at all. A friend of mine was in the process of buying a home, only to have the bank tell him that there was no record of him having paid taxes at all for 2021...Easier Accounting had forgotten to file his taxes even after he sent a check to pay. He had no idea because there is no communication whatsoever. Sunk cost fallacy tricked me into staying after Dallin reassured me they had made adjustments in staff, and that everything would be taken care of. I never heard from him again, nor anyone else. After we signed up with Easier Accounting, We were constantly ignored and never received anything we signed up for within the "two-week turnaround time," we were guaranteed. Understanding the circumstances and the standing of the current standing of my books, we gave Easier Accounting 3 extra months to figure it out, even though we never would receive a call back or a response with an update, we were optimistic the work was being done. However, we were left with no returned calls, only voicemail boxes, and occasionally a text message from Robyn, the supposed accountant that was working on our account. Every time we called, no one was available to provide me with an update. Up until recently, we were told my PNLs were completed, yet no one called us nor provided us with such copies. We attempted to call a supervisor to try to remedy this situation and was again left an empty promise. We received no call back, no email, no text message either. We have never had to call a company as much in order to attempt to receive some sort of response or update as much as we had to with Easier Accounting. Considering we were more than happy to pay for your monthly subscription, with the hopes the quality would match, you could sense our disappointment when it wasn't up to par with the quality of the service, communication and work. It seems Easier Accounting is more worried about receiving their monthly subscription money rather than their quality of work. Less

They delayed and delayed doing our taxes, which cost me thousands of dollars in fines, only ONCE (in 6 months) provided us with our P&L, and even after telling our rep that we wanted to terminate our agreement- they began the “paper shuffle” where they kept sending our “file” to new reps to handle. Each time, we got some lame excuse that they were short staffed, lost employees, are “behind on files” etc etc. nobody likes excuses- and since asking for both to cancel our service and get issued a refund- we’re being completely ignored and STILL have people messaging us saying “hey, I’m the new accountant handling your file!” Uh, no- no you’re not, cause we fired y’all three weeks ago. 0/10 would reccomend- better off just using QuickBooks and having some idiot at HR Block help you online for free. Easier Accounting aka "NexGen" is a total disaster. The Federal Taxes were calculated incorrectly. I had to have another company redo the return, submit an amended return and I had to pay $5000. I was blatantly lied to by the sales rep Tyler. He should be ashamed of himself. The FTC and State of Utah needs to get involved here, this is a company that is actively scamming people!!
