Back story: My parents (in their 80s) were all packed and ready to go to the airport on Monday to stay with my brother while my husband and I were on vacation. We were leaving Monday evening. In the early hours of Monday morning, however, my father fell quite ill, and we had to call 911. My father tested positive for COVID but was not admitted to the hospital. (note: He's OK now.) There was no way my parents would be getting on a plane, and we couldn't go on vacation with my father sick, so we called Adultcare Assistance Homecare, with whom we had a relationship from home check-ins during prior vacations.
Bottom line: Because we'd already been screened by Adultcare Assistance Homecare from prior visits, with only 8 hours notice Lesley and her team were able to provide 24/7 home health care for my parents in our home for the full 2 week period that we would be away. While I wouldn't recommend as a rule calling Adultcare Assistance Homecare with such short notice, they certainly came through for us and earned a 5-star review.
Lesley or an aide kept in constant text message contact with updates for me or my brother every day, including how my parents felt, what they did, if and what they were eating, etc. Emails, too, were exchanged in a timely manner with good communication.
Though my husband and I didn't quite have the fully relaxing vacation we'd anticipated, Lesley and Adultcare Assistance Homecare (and a shoutout to Chrystal in Billing, too) allowed us to feel secure in the care in which we left my parents. My parents were pleased with the people Adultcare Assistance Homecare sent to the house, which makes it all even better.
