Transcend does what they say they will do— reduce the number of days you’re in pain over time by addressing the root of the issue, which, in my case, was a misaligned upper vertebra that serves as a keystone for the spine. I am 24 as of the time of this review, had neck problems my whole life. 6 months ago, my neck hurt virtually everyday, mild to moderate chronic pain. Today, I may have 1 to 2 days per month where the pain is noticeable, and even then, it’s not like it was. Most chiropractors crack your neck, and it feels nice for a minute but does nothing long term, and anyone who’s been to a traditional chiropractor can attest to this. The doctors at transcend are a part of NUCCA, a particular subset of chiropractors with a philosophy centered around identifying and addressing issues with those keystone vertebrae in the upper spine. They make carefully calculated, gentle adjustments to the spine only as needed, guided by a comprehensive suit of x-rays that they’ll take during your first visits if they believe they can help you based on your symptoms. From there, they’ll make the adjustments whenever you “go out of alignment” once more, which means entering into a degree of upper vertebra misalignment that exceeds a certain acceptable degree of shift that they are able to calculate. If you’re past this acceptable threshold, you’ll be impinging nerves and you will deteriorate over time as the body attempts to make mechanical compensations for this issue, which leads to spinal degeneration issues in the long term. They can explain it more clearly than me, but this is my layman’s understanding of their method. Nonetheless, this approach clearly works, as is attested to by every 5 star review on this page. It actually helps address the problem at the root. However, it takes time, as this method only allows the body to heal itself— it doesn’t “fix you” immediately. It gets you out of the inability to heal that your spinal position is causing. Part of this process is bone remodeling, which, as you might imagine, takes a while. When you get your first adjustment, you might laugh— as the adjustment is remarkably light compared to traditional chiropractic care. Just stick it out and suspend any disbelief you may have, because this method does yield results over time and I will attest to it. These doctors will literally also wean you off their care as part of the treatment plan— they make LESS money from you as you get better and need fewer visits. Contrast this to most other forms of treatment for chronic pain and follow the paper trail— you never get off of those treatments. Transcend fully expects you to stop needing them and actively works to make it so. I think that speaks measures to their character, intentions, and their method’s efficacy. Less

I love doctors Connor & Leigh. I'm so glad a friend told me about their NUCCA type of chiropractic care. In 30 years of going to chiropractors, I've never been to one who did the necessary Xrays & explained to me what the actual problem is & given me an educated, detailed plan going forward of how we can actually FIX the problem. Your first visit is a free consult. Then, if you agree to their well-explained process, on your first or 2nd visit, they take different angles of Xrays for your neck & do the first adjustment accordingly. The Xrays are necessary to know what the exact health of your neck is & create a plan. They then show you your Xray on the computer where the computer draws a vertical line through your brain stem & a horizontal line through the axis. My understanding is that these should be 90 degrees. Hopefully, I'm explaining this accurately. Then they show your Xray next to a perfect one so you can see what the difference is & what their goal is for your spine. They even show you a chart of what level or stage of damage your spine has had & how many years or decades it has been in such a state. They are extremely detailed, even using measuring tools during an adjustment to carefully be sure they get my axis & brain stem to the right angle. There is no snap, crackle, pop, or painful pretzel contortions. The adjustment is an ever so slight, gentle, encouraging nudging pressure behind the ear at the axis in order to gently nudge it back toward its correct angle. No pain whatsoever. It's stunning that such a gentle movement can make such huge changes in your whole spine & throughout your body. They also measure hip angles & how much weight each leg is carrying as tools to bring the body back into alignment. Plus, the additional therapy they do makes a stark difference in pain levels. The goal of this kind of chiropractic is to bring your whole spine back into alignment and the whole body with it. It is a whole-body healing experience. The gentle process even allows old injuries that never healed correctly or fully to re-begin their healing process again. The office is clean. The people are extremely kind & helpful. I am still in process, but I have seen a stark difference since I first began there. The science just makes sense. I love that they explain everything. And every visit we go over where I started & the changes that have happened each week or month, & compare it to where I am that day & why. I've come a long way because when I first went to them, I had mysterious pain in almost every part of my body, including (weirdly) my fingers. And I could barely move my neck in any direction. Even understanding the premises of this technique, I have been very surprised. I’ve had chiropractic treatment for years but nothing was helping specific areas of pain. Doctors Conner and Leigh focus on literally getting your head on straight, which allows the body to communicate the way it is designed to. They provide attentive care as they explain the process and expectations during each visit. In this short duration, my range of motion is back to near perfect, no headaches, very improved sleep, I can stand for longer periods of time without soreness, I no longer get numbness or tingling in my hands and feet, and even my digestion has greatly improved without any acid reflux.
