This is the place to go to get your heart scanned. Too many people die each year from heart disease, and they didn’t even know they had it. A calcium score can be had anywhere, and is better than nothing, but a heart scan by Dr. Morales is much more beneficial.

The staff here is some of the happiest and friendliest in the business! The offices are gorgeous and they make sure to value your time and get you in and out quickly. What a great experience with South Tampa Cardiology. I needed to get a CT scan of my heart. The staff was wonderful. They explained everything that was going to happen during the procedure. Absolute worst. I had stroke in June 2024 was referred by cardiologist for CCTA. Waited two months for appointment. Lots of back and forth about insurance information needed. I called to confirm if everything was needed to move forward with exam two days prior and was told, authorization is pending. Now I have to start completely over & schedule elsewhere.

Dr. Morales is top class and I would not trust anyone else with my heart. However, I was taken aback today at my follow-up appointment for my tests results today for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which being that I did not get to see Dr. Morales. This could be case dependent and based on Dr. Morales’ own availability, and he is rightfully busy. The PA (or nurse) that came in his place entered the room with what seemed like a choreographed lecture to me. Without recounting the entire conversation, she began by telling me that my results all came back normal, which were very reassuring and gave me peace of mind in ruling out heart issues, however, then abruptly launched into a backhanded jab at me of being very anxious and needing to be medicated. In past visits, I had told her and Dr. Morales that I suffer from anxiety, so I understand why she came to that conclusion. I told her of a medication that my psychiatrist had recently prescribed and how I had been seeing dramatic improvement from it; almost instinctively, she rebuked its effectiveness, and advised that I needed to be on psychotropic medication. I understand her concern, and admittedly I have had my fair share of bouts of panic attacks for which I am seeing both a psychiatrist and psychologist, but for her to be doling out psychiatric advice and medication suggestions felt out of place for someone who is neither a psychiatrist nor a psychologist - -above all, and even though it was probably not her intention, it had the impact of being extremely unprofessional and very out of pocket for a medical professional in a different field of medicine to be giving advice about a completely different field of medicine. All in all, in the interaction I have had with Dr. Morales, and my trust in him as my cardiologist has been nothing short of certified fresh, five stars. This incident was probably an outlier, as all the other five star reviews can attest, but I do think my experience should be shared and reflected upon to grow and improve because I think South Tampa Cardiology is an exceptional group and should continue to strive to be exceptional. Use the website to schedule appointments, even for radiologic tests! Upon arrival the office was literally packed with patients waiting for care - standing room only. After completing the required paperwork, I waited about 10 minutes before being ushered to an interior waiting room, and about 15 minutes later ushered in for my procedure. Despite my challenges obtaining an appointment, I found the staff quite friendly and with my best interests and care top of mind. Shout out to both my nurse and my radiologic technician, both of whom were wonderful. From my observation and experience the front desk staff seemed quite stressed, though pleasant. More staff could be responsive to such matters as voicemail; it should never take weeks to speak with a staff member for an appointment, and the website should not be the exclusive means by which to gain access to services. For the identified deficiencies I have removed only one star from an otherwise great experience. Less

South tampa cardiology has the best advanced imaging equipment that uses the least amount of radiation and contrast necessary to get the best diagnostic imaging done. They also have friendly and caring staff, Toria is awesome and very knowledgeable CT tech.

The visit was amazing, staff is always professional and courteous when it comes to the needs of their patients.

When I first walked in I thought, whoa, grand central station here! But then as soon as I sat my name was called, and I was taken care of immediately… on my appointment time! The nurse, the PA, and the Dr were all very attentive, caring, respectful and efficient. I was in and out within 50 mins max! I’m very pleased!

You have to request to speak with the doctor and they seem to double book. Nurse said the plaque in my artery was permanent and couldn't be removed? This is 100% false! Another cardiologist performs the procedure via laser angioplasty. I had to ask for my medical records roughly six times.

The friendliness staff I have ever had the pleasure in meeting . I was a bit tense , but everyone I came in contact had such a relaxing tone. Everything was well explained, no one rushing even though they had a lot of patients to process.

The staff is extremely friendly , knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I highly recommend being a client of Dr. Morales’ team!

The most wonderful place to get your heart checked out and the most wonderful crew of caregivers who are fantastic. They are quick to get you in and the office runs fast but with loving care. Everything is explained and you leave with a positive idea even when the news is bad. I would recommend them to my best friends.

Check in was simple, office staff was nice, very clean office, got in fast to see doctor, was seen by nurse practitioner and then the doctor. Same day as my first visit I was sent home with a 14 day heart monitor. All testing, so far, will be done in the same office, which is very convenient.
