Now that we are finished with the selling and buying process, I want to put it out there that The Zimmerman Team in the Valley is NOT the realtor team to choose. I am usually not a fan of posting overly personal or maybe even whiny public posts.. But after the experiences we had with them, I feel it is important to get it out there as a negative referral. On the selling side, our realtor did not put up a sign until days after putting our house on MLS. He only came out to put a sign up after we asked why we didn't have one. His response was that he thought we did and was disgruntled that he had to drive to Eagle River. He set us up with an app that notified us of showings, and we did not hear from him again until we got an offer. He did provide us with the offer, but when we asked questions about the details on closing costs etc. he was vague and seemed put out. After accepting an offer, he was of absolutely no help through the inspections etc. We really didn't even communicate with him, but dealt with someone in his office (the only professional employee we encountered). Because we were selling and buying at the same time, we tried to keep up on when our closing a would be. He encouraged us to do early occupancy and would not give us dates or information on closing. We did end up getting information from the lenders (bank) themselves! We ended up paying for almost a month in early occupancy fees, after agreeing to EO with the assumption that it would only be 1-3 days. On the buying side, our realtor only showed us houses we found ourselves. When writing our offer, she left out one of our requests which cost us over 8,000 dollars. There was no apology, only a 'I'm human, and we make mistakes' response. We then did not hear from her, but again dealt with her amazing office employee for the rest of the process. Through out the entire ordeal (about two months) - this realtor team did not work to get us what we wanted and needed. It was so frustrating to see this, as we watched our respective buyers and sellers having competent agents who truly worked for their clients. The lack of professionalism and communication was very hard to deal with considering we forked over a great deal of money. I did attempt to express my concern with out selling agent, but was met with rebuttal and denial. I am so glad that our family is in our dream home, and we can have a fresh start. I am forever thankful for what I do have in life! I hate to be negative, but I want as many people to know as possible - if you want to keep your sanity through a home selling/buying process, DO NOT USE The Zimmerman Team of IEC realty. Less
