Just had a 2 night stay at Howdale in Scarborough, my wife and I fully enjoyed our time here, the room was a Premium double on the third floor and the view was fantastic out to sea and a pair of binoculars were part of the package so you could have a real nosey around the north bay, the room was spotless and included both a bath and large shower with complimentary shower gels, shampoo and soap it looked like the bathroom was recently refurbished. The bed was huge and very comfortable with 2 firm pillows on each side so we had a great 2 nights sleep. You got a small fridge with complimentary water and a generous tray of tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits that was replenished for our second day. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to suit all including vegetarians, overall we had a great 2 night stay and would recommend to anyone who wants a nice clean b and b in a great location. The hosts were helpful with any aspect of the stay and the breakfast was wonderful . The parking is tight but we were able to get on the car park throughout our stay ,there is a great backup plan if space isnt available . Just be mindful the bedrooms are over 3 floors if mob... More

We spent ages just watching the surfers and walkers . Louisa and Kevin are so welcoming and friendly , you can see they take great pride in providing an excellent service . There is free parking on site or you can get a disc to park on the street . ( not required if you have a disabled badge) You get free parking in disc zones . BUT DO DOUBLE CHECK Breakfast was fab , my hubby had a lovely cooked breakfast every day and as I have specific dietary requirements I had fresh melon , banana or prunes and a choice of yoghurts or cereal . Nothing is too much trouble and Louisa is chatty and loves to hear what guests have been up to and where they have visited and also has lots of suggestions and leaflets with ideas of places to go . Just spent 3 nights at the Howdale. Last minute so we didn't get a sea view room but we were really happy anyway. Though the room was fairly small it was spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Felt a genuine warm welcome from Louisa which continued throughout our stay. Breakfast was wonderful served in a lovely room with sea view, served by Louisa and her pleasant,helpful assistant with a friendly, no fuss approach, enough to say - we didn't need lunch! This time we stayed in one of Louisa's new premium rooms...they are fabulous...large sea view rooms, huge bed, ample hanging space, beautiful bathroom with underfloor heating and good sized shower...everything you could need...spotlessly clean. This time we stayed in one of Louisa's new premium rooms...they are fabulous...large sea view rooms, huge bed, ample hanging space, beautiful bathroom with underfloor heating and good sized shower...everything you could need...spotlessly clean. Great breakfast...fruit..cereal..juice.etc...and a full English that you can alter to suit you...Lovely staff..nothing's a problem. Will be back next year. Less

The rooms are kept spotless & the breakfast choices are tailored to suit your taste. The 4 rooms recently renovated are tastefully decorated & furnished with the additional advantage of a panoramic view of the north bay, enhanced by the use of the provided binoculars. The only dow... The rooms are kept spotless & the breakfast choices are tailored to suit your taste. The 4 rooms recently renovated are tastefully decorated & furnished with the additional advantage of a panoramic view of the north bay, enhanced by the use of the provided binoculars. The only downside is that it is a 4 story hotel without a lift which could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. Excellent place to stay. Louisa was the perfect host. The hotel is in a great location with onsite parking and is only a 10 minute walk to the town Center.
