Andrew Rudnick, COO at Katia Designs, hired us to develop and manage chatbot automation for their business, intending to scale their customer acquisition. Sadly, the partnership turned for the worse due to their unethical behavior. Despite delivering solid results and custom solutions, including a tool I created called the "Klaviyo Toolkit"—which allowed them to better engage customers and sync important data—they refused to honor their payment agreement. Remarkably, they recovered their entire investment just 18 days after going live, thanks to our successful strategy and tech stack. However, after receiving this significant boost to their marketing, Katia Designs withheld payments and demanded more work for free, well beyond what was agreed upon. When we declined, they retaliated by posting a one-star review and even filed a chargeback. Their actions were dishonest and deeply frustrating after all the effort and innovation we poured into their business, working tirelessly to bring them the best solutions. To make matters worse, they removed access to their systems, and their chatbot was still producing new revenue even after they went ahead with their threat to post a 1 star review and dispute payments. What makes this situation truly sad is that after years of work and dedication to developing solutions that help brands like Katia Designs thrive, they chose to manipulate and misuse our intellectual property. Our services involve a proprietary system; the whole team has spent years refining it. Seeing someone try to steal and exploit that innovation without proper credit or compensation is beyond disappointing, unacceptable, and unjust. As Head of Technology at GROW AI, I value delivering real results and ethical partnerships. Unfortunately, Andrew Rudnick has shown that they neither respect innovation nor honor their agreements. I strongly advise any other agencies or partners to be extremely cautious when working with them, as they have demonstrated a clear lack of integrity in both their business dealings and their treatment of the work we did for them.

We generated almost $50k in revenue and increased their conversion rate by 170%. Please note that these results were achieved even though the KD team did the absolute minimum to help us deploy the project. At first, the KD team came in and was willing to abide by all of our SOPs to get maximum results, but after some time, it was clear that the primary decision makers had no idea how our system truly worked because they weren’t involved in the project. In order to create a mutually beneficial relationship and to build trust with them, we adjusted all of our strategies to make sure they were comfortable with everything we deployed. Somehow, that still wasn’t enough, and after generating ~$50k in revenue, we got a message saying that we haven’t produced results for the project. It is in our contract that the client needs to participate in the project to help us generate as much revenue/results as possible. Their team member, Andrea, did her absolute best to help us, but the primary decision makers were not involved in the project and didn’t seem privy to the results we’d garnered. They reached out saying we didn’t get results and they had no idea that our proprietary system generated over $40k for them at the time! For us to have done the absolute bare minimum and still achieve these results, is PHENOMENAL! We could have done so much more and potentially been at $150k at this point. I understand that things can get heated, but you can not force another business owner to do what YOU want them to do just because you’ve paid them. It’s called a Scope of Work for a reason - that’s the scope of the work lol… if you go outside it, that’s another service, and not what we are contractually obligated to do! We already adjusted all of our SOPs to accommodate you and built in extra technical value to assist with your goals. For this company to threaten us with a charge-back claiming that we didn’t produce results is totally offensive and the result of a lack of emotional intelligence. You do a charge-back when services aren’t delivered, not because you get in your feelings and want to prove a point by stealing our work. And doing a charge-back but removing us from your accounts and keeping our systems is STEALING!

😡 IP THEFT! Two months ago, Katia Designs hired my chatbot agency to build a chatbot for Instagram and Facebook to help them with sales. We deployed it in two weeks. In the first 48 days from launch, it generated $49,000 for Katia Designs through their DMs. Before their third monthly payment, their COO reached out to my team and requested that their payment be paused, and he then asked us to build something out of the scope of our contract or what we do as a chatbot agency. He mentioned that he will consider resuming his monthly payments only after we build it. As the CEO, I refused to build something out of scope, and more so, for free. Their COO then threatened me with leaving a 1-star review and proceeding to a Stripe charge-back if I didn't. So, he proceeded with his thread, but not before removing my team's access to one of the tools we had used to build his chatbot (Manychat) in the hope that he would retain everything we built by force. Unfortunately for Katia Designs, they are good con artists but not very tech-savvy. They missed one important tool (our GROW AI revenue software) that still allows us to control their chatbot and its logic. After doing more research on Katia Designs, I was shocked by 1-star Trustpilot customer reviews but even more shocked by their Glassdoor reviews -- one person wrote, "Toxic work environment. Racist management". Another one wrote "Bad compensation, bad leadership, racist culture and values, no benefits, super unprofessional, COO has serious anger management issues". I wish I'd done my homework before working with these people, but I hope that if you're reading this, you are. RUN!
