Lauren- the manager was wonderful. Unfortunately she could not get everything set up that we wanted for my daughters bridal shower. I arrived early the morning of the shower to help Lauren with some details when the rude, nasty owner, Katrina said we were not allowed in the venue until the scheduled time for the event to begin. Details were overlooked because there was just too much for Lauren to do alone. My daughter was still opening gifts and it was getting close to the scheduled end time of our contract. I offered to pay for another hour and once again, the rude owner, Katrina, said we had to leave. Let me mention there there was NOT another event after ours!! We also spent the night before the event in one of their cabins. The cabin was cute…but filthy! My daughter in law had to clean the hair out of the shower before we could use it! When my daughter went to get into the bed, it was obvious the sheets were not clean…pillow cases covered in hair. At 10 pm we had to call Lauran who immediately brought us clean bedding and extra towels. I have heard through various caterers that Katrina is rude during most events. As beautiful as the venue is…please think twice before you choose this location. I did write the owner and her husband a letter and asked them to contact me about my concerns. Katrina gave us so much of her time during our initial visit and was always willing to offer tips, suggestions and recommendations for vendors and general flow of the day. After booking we mainly dealt with the general manager Lauren, who was also fabulous. She answered all of phone calls and emails, set up multiple visits to the venue, including one to go through the enormous store room of decorations they have acquired from past weddings that you are welcome to go through and choose things for your own day. It really helps save money in the decor department. Beyond that Lauren and the venue allowed me to fulfill one of my dreams and set up my outdoor aerial rig in the woods so I could have some photos taken on my silks in my wedding dress. It was beyond special and I was so grateful. Lauren put me completely at ease, since I wasn't getting ready at the venue due to our ceremony being at a church 45 minutes away, I couldn't be there to oversee decorations and set up but Lauren and the staff took care of everything. That being said they also have lovely rooms and space for getting ready if you choose to have your ceremony onsite. The two floors, wrap around deck and large event hall downstairs really make the night flow well. There is plenty of space and you don't feel stuck in one place the whole night. Depending on the time of year they also have a fully air conditioned venue, or you can have them open the doors if you prefer. Bathrooms on both floors and an elevator are available for any guests who may require it. Our day was perfect and we can't thank Wolf Oak Acres enough. Our wedding day weather was less than ideal, with nonstop rain resulting in flooding, Katrina and Russ kept calm while moving bridal party cars from the flooded parking lot, helping to set up inside, and helping to get arriving guests to the venue safely. The power went out for our entire reception but we never found out until afterwards. A generator kept the party going and powered the lights, air conditioning, DJ, photobooth, and everything else. We never thought of the power going out but Katrina and Russ were more than prepared! In addition to top notch service and communication, the venue itself boasts beautiful photo locations, indoor and outdoor areas, unlimited possibilities for layout/vendors, and so much more! Our guests were stunned by the simple beauty and accommodations. We are recommending Wolf Oak Acres to everyone we know! Thank you so much for helping to make our day amazing!!! Less

Hosted a retirement party at Wolf Oak Acres! We can't say enough about the establishment and the owners who worked tirelessly to ensure our event went off exactly the way we wanted it. Would recommend to anyone looking to host an event/wedding!!

Wolf Oak Acres was everything and more. It is simply beautiful. My husband and I got married at Wolf Oak in October 2016. We could not have asked for a better day. It was perfect. All of our guests raved how beautiful the venue was. Katrina and Russell put a lot into their venue and it shows. They were both very accommodating, a pleasure to work with and were always available to answer any questions that we had. Katrina is a wealth of knowledge. They have a lot of helpful information on their website, as well as interesting blog posts and fun decorating ideas on Facebook and Pinterest. One of the reasons we chose this venue was because we did not see this pride for a venue anywhere else and I've never seen anything like it. When you rent out this venue, you are the only wedding for the day and don't feel rushed out. We were also the first ones to stay onsite at the newly built cottages. They are absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend staying there if you can. It put me at ease that I was already at the venue the morning of my wedding and didn't have to rush down to the main building to meet my vendors. Breakfast gets delivered straight to your door from Madison Bistro. The muffins and pastries we had were delicious! Russell also built a fire pit near the cottages.
