My Chiropractic journey began earlier this year after a car accident. (The accident was a bit ago - but I was in a terrible 60-80 hr/week job where I could not take any time off to care for myself. I mean, I could - but then I would not have a job. I know that is not legal - but anyone in a toxic workplace like that understands the pressure.) I first went to another chiropractor in town. My pain would be temporarily relieved, then flare up even worse. I decided to switch to a new Dr.** Enter Dr. Marvin **To begin with, the first place never took X-rays. This was the first thing Dr. Marvin did. And those X-rays revealed many issues that the other would have never seen - and showed the last guy could have injured me very badly. My pain at this time was consistently at a 7-8 - with flare-ups leaving me unable to move or even think due to horrific pain. Dr. Marvin was not put off by this and went to work. I went to him 3x/week. Within a month, there was a notable change. I no longer had the debilitating, horrible pain, and I began to notice I could bear weight on the injured side of my body. Little by little, Dr. and I worked together -- he adjusting and keeping the joints moving, and me practicing slow, gentle stretches regularly (so exciting to see my range of motion improve!). Soon, I began to wean myself off the heat pads that I had grown accustomed to sleeping on (due to pain) and noticed I could now even sleep without pain. WOW! I am still on this healing journey - and am happy to be on it with Dr. Marvin. His staff is great - very kind, communicative, and flexible with hours that work around normal 9-5 jobs. I highly recommend Dr. Marvin. He knows what he's doing, has seen it all, and is not afraid of a woman in pain who cannot even put into words the pain or what it is. Dr. Marvin at Finesse Chiropractic, A++, Highly recommended!!!Life changing! I had no idea how much I needed to see a chiropractor. This was my first time in my life to have a chiropractor session. I wasn’t experiencing any pain, just some numbness in my upper back. Then in two visits with Dr. Marvin my, unknown to me, major locked-up hip joint and locked-up upper back were released/adjusted and now I am experiencing easy flowing movement and better golf!I met Marvin on the golf course and he offered me a session just to take a chiropractic look at me to seeif there was any range of motion hindrances. After X-rays, the first test of range of movement in hips and back showed serious trauma-caused issues. I was “completely locked up” on the right hip. The left hip joint moved easily like jelly. In one visit, my hip was released and opened up for the first time in decades. Walking was instantly different and easy flowing. The next chiropractic adjustment, the following day, my upper back range of motion opened up in the same way. Instant improvement! This was followed up with some progressively minor adjustment sessions. Only smaller adjustments are needed now after just a few weeks. All good!Experiencing a new range of motion, I understand now why there were certain athletic actions and movements I couldn’t do throughout my life that are now easy flowing. Flexibility has increased!I am a lover of golf and play or practice several days per week right now and my golf game and awareness of how my body moves with this new range of movement is a huge life improvement for me right now. I’ve been seeing Dr. Marvin for a while now, and I can honestly say he’s made a huge difference in my quality of life. When I first started going, I was dealing with back pain, limited mobility, and numbness and tingling in my fingers. I've never in my life have had such a HORRIBLE experience as the visit with Dr. Marvin. He used SO much force and pressure, with his knee in the middle of my back, that it actually popped my sternum, which added to the unbearable pain he caused to my lower back. My chest pain has subsided, however, my lower back is much worse after seeing Dr. Marvin. He admitted to being much too aggressive with my treatment, much too soon. I waited to write this 100% true and accurate review, to see if my lower back would heal. There has been ZERO relief and I've now been having to deal with excruciating and unbearable lower back pain. That whooshing started out as very quiet and would come and go. That soon turned into constant whooshing that was so loud that it was difficult for me to hear out of my right ear. I mentioned it to our then chiropractor, but the whooshing persisted. My husband and I stopped receiving chiropractic care after only a few months there. I went into the ER because I still had whooshing. I had a CT scan, but they were unable to provide any solutions and told me it was pulsatile tinnitus. Dr. Kunikiyo is the best! I came in for an injured shoulder that was essentially inoperable. Dr. Kunikiyo had my full ROM back in a few visits. I continue to go to Dr. Kunikiyo regularly for overall health and mobility. I've been to several chiros and I've had the best response with Dr. Kunikiyo. Got treated by them for 2 almost back to back hit&runs. Dr K did great work getting me back to healthy range of motion both times. Highly recommend
