Before I begin, I would like to say that we have bought and sold over a dozen properties in the past. We had Lindsey list our home, which was sold extremely fast (less than a week). She had nothing to do with the fast sale other that being lucky enough to be the one we listed the house with. Once offers came in, thats when the wheels fell off. Things got so bad that we had to contact her broker (Pam Titzell). Once Pam was involved, things were handled in a manner that made us feel like we were actually being represented. Does anyone doubt that making your client feel cared for is what a listing agent should do? In my opinion, Lindsey doesn't !!!!! If you use her, don't just let her tell you things are done. You must insist that signed and fully executed documents are done any properly filed with the title company. DO NOT accept (this is how we do it in Lubbock) explanations about everything being fine without signed documents. It's your money/home and you have a right to feel represented/protected. We actually had to tell her that we weren't going to allow inspections (on the morning they were to be done) because the contracts, earnest money and options fee check had not been received and/or receipted at the title company. The day before closing, we found out that the terms of an agreement for the sale of non realty items weren't properly agreed too either. We had to threaten not to sign closing document that we already had in our possession in order to get this issue resolved. Her broker and the representative from True Title actually had to set up escrow for this issue at literally the final hour. Other than dealing with her broker, we would have been better off representing ourselves. Find a hungry go getter and don't fall for the hype when choosing someone to represent you in the sale or purchase of a home in Lubbock. Choosing Lindsey will only leave you feeling like she is working against your best interest and doubt who she really represents. I have never felt so vulnerable during a real estate transaction. Thank goodness we were selling a nice home and that the buyers were obviously good people working toward getting the home to closing as well. Less
