Updated Review – May 5, 2025I’ve been seeing Dr. Jeffery Hoekstra at Chiropractic Wellness of Tinley Park for several years now, and I wanted to share an updated review to reflect my more recent experience — particularly with StemWave therapy.Last year, I began experiencing significant pain and limited mobility in both shoulders. I initially feared I had torn my rotator cuffs, as I couldn’t lift my arms more than halfway or sleep comfortably on either side. The discomfort impacted my daily life and severely limited my usual activities.After discussing my symptoms with Dr. Hoekstra, he recommended StemWave therapy. At first, the treatments helped manage the pain, but by the third session on my right shoulder and the fourth on my left, I began noticing significant improvements in mobility. I had tendonitis in my long biceps tendon of my shoulder and other locations around that area which started ocurring after an an injury. I did the stemwave therapy here and found it to help a great deal. I combined the stemwave therapy with various shoulder workouts such as pll-ups and hanging and using bands and cables. I also used an over the counter heartburn medication 200mg twice per day called cimetidine which has been shown to help with shoulder tendonitis. Additional supplements I took were glycine which i bought in bulk from amazon. After a few sessions of stemwave I was able to heal the tendonitis.

Hands-down best Chiropractic experience I've had. At the consultation I relayed that I was looking for an honest and no BS approach to some relief I was looking for in my neck and back. I threw my back out days before a flight to Arizona with my husband and 7 month old. I’m a 33 year old, healthy, and active female. The pain was worse than labor. I was hunched over unable to stand and was shuffling around in pain. Just after 3 treatments, Dr. Jeff decreased my pain by more than 50% and now I am confident that the flight to Arizona will be much less painful. And I can stand up straight and walk normally!! Dr. Jeff is the REAL DEAL! I had been suffering with chronic Achilles tendonitis for 5 years and was in pain daily. I went to see Dr Jeff because of knee pain. I already had one replacement and was not ready to go under the knife anytime soon for another. Dr Jeff is offering Stem Therapy, and I thought I would give it a try. I am really impressed! The procedure takes 15 mins 2x a week. I had a total of 8 sessions, and my knee pain has gone from a 7-8 to a 1-2. I have resumed walking and other types of exercise. Occasionally, I still wear a brace, but only on long walks. INSTANT RESULTS!!! I went in after sleeping wrong and barely being able to move my neck and turn my head due to the continuous pain Dr Jeff wasn't even done and I could already start turn my head with the initial adjustment. He was aiming for an improvement of 50% pain reduction and he achieved a 60%!! After 4 hrs it was up to 70% pain reduction. The next day I only have about 7%!!! So happy with the results and so thankful for Dr Jeff HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Dr H is amazing and the services are great too lol. He is more than accommodating for his patients regarding flexibility and billing. The atmosphere is good vibes, clean, and tranquil. Acupuncture isn't painful (especially for someone afraid of needles) and StemWave treatments have been life altering. I've had back pain for about 30 years and chronic at least 25.. a few treatments had me wanting to dance.. something I couldn't do due to the pain. I highly recommend you at least trying out Dr H. You won't be disappointed.

I have been seeing Dr. Jeff for many years due to back pain. Dr. Jeff has always been able to help me and allowed me to walk out of his office upright, and with less pain. Recently, Dr. Jeff‘s office has acquired a machine called StemWave. When Dr. Jeff first told me about it I did a little research on online and after doing some reading, I thought why not give it a try. I’m sure glad I did. StemWave has taken all my back pain away and I mean all pain!!! It has alleviated all weakness in my legs. StemWave has given me back my mobility and has taken away what I considered limitations. I am so glad I met Dr. Jeff. I’ve been to numerous chiropractors over the years and he is by far the best. Jeff has helped me with lower back and neck issues from years of wear and tear on my body. Recently his office picked up a Stem Cell machine and just like everyone else I was cautious. But Jeff being Jeff he made me feel comfortable trying it and not just recommending it for a money grab. Here is the kicker, it was for my feet. I’ve spent so much money on seeing podiatrists just to get X-rays, shots and everyone telling me I need orthotics. Guess what been there tried it and nothing worked. On two separate occasions I have been to Jeff’s office not being able to walk because my feet hurt so bad to being able to leave after two to three treatments moving like nothing ever happened. Thank me later and go get a stem cell treatment from Jeff and Team!!
