I have been coming here for almost 4 years for services. Today I came In for a fill in and a Bikini wax. I received the most racist treatment you can ever receive. I received my fill in and the technician was nice and professional. But when it was time for the Bikini wax I was denied services after waiting another 30 minutes , to see other customers get waxing services before me, when I finally asked the receptionist what was going on , 2 technicians refused to do my bikini wax. I hve watch this salon go downhill, with unprofessional behavior extremely loud conversations coming from Technicians to when I spoke to my technician she couldn’t hear me. I also told the receptionist to call the manager she said shecouldn’t reach her, then when I tried to make an appointment with the manager she couldn’t give me one. I will definitely be taking legal action. Less

I got an amazing deep tissue massage from Tammy!! I asked for a firm massage and boy did she deliver but she was definitely able to back it down on areas that didn't need a firm touch! Tammy is absolutely magical! Truly gives some of the best massages I've ever had, and knows EXACTLY where I'm sore. Her deep tissue is DEEP, almost like physical therapy, and will fully release even your worst knots. She listens to what you want and customizes your massage to exactly what you need. Her relaxation massage is lighter but definitely not too light (in fact, I'd say it's perfect and still gets out all tension). I'll absolutely be back! Less

This was a pretty terrible Massage. I had come here in the past and it was great. She did not ask me what I was there for or any questions prior. No warm up on muscles, inconsistent pressure. Areas that needed it were not getting pressure and I was verbal about. It felt like a total beginner who didn’t know what they were doing. When I went to leave no one asked me how it was. My family gets massage often and lives nearby and I would not recommend them here anymore. I told the manager what happened and she just said she’s on it. No help or resolution offered at all. Less

I’ve tried the other spas that have come on the scene and none have come close to the relaxing and nurturing experience that I have at Tranquility. Nurturing being the most important part. The stars of the show are the therapists that work here: Always warm, welcoming and consistently give the best services. The spa is calm, tranquil, spotlessly clean, and a pleasure to experience. A lot of love has been put into the new renovation and I truly love coming here. I’ve been a loyal customer here for years and the service has always been great. In the time I’ve been coming here I’ve never once had to cancel an appointment the day of, but I had a situation where I woke up with what looked like a highly contagious skin condition of the day of a massage appointment. I called as soon as they opened to cancel out of concern of potentially spreading something to the massage therapist. I’m aware of their cancellation policy, but I was hoping an exception could be made since I was trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately they weren’t willing to make an exception and charged me for 50% of the service. Hopefully that money was worth the loss of all my future business. Less

I was very disappointed with this spa. I don't often spoil myself with spa services, they are expensive and finding time for myself is not easily done. The spa is very run down. The staff was very nice but they don't wear uniforms which overall looks very unprofessional. Especially given how much you are spending on services. I was not offered a robe. The massage table was cheap and old, much like the appearance of the room. The vinyl was flaking off the mattress and it was very hard and uncomfortable so my back was aching by the end of the service. The esthetician while knowledgeable and very nice, was wearing jeans and a hoodie and smelled strongly of weed. The room was a mess when the service was over and they don't offer you a glass of water afterwards. They are charging services at the same price point as that of Woodhouse Spa or the spa at the Don Cesar, both of which are in another league of service compared to this place. Spending a lot of money on a bad experience is not worth it. Less

The staff here are pleasant, accommodating, and love what they do(it shows).The spa is located right next to a parking garage so it is extremely accessible, especially for downtown area. The environment is pumped full of dim light, comfortable but chic decor, soft sounds and so many amazing smells. The services... I got the "just for her package" which included a body wrap, massage, and facial. They were all wonderful. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a day to block out the chaos of this world and reset. I left feeling serene, thank you Tranquility for a marvelous day. Less

First off this was a beautiful experience. I booked the Just For Her package and was so excited about it. I spent the majority of my time with Wendy who was super nice and attentive. She gave me space when I needed, she explained everything she was using, all around she did an amazing job! The only issue I really had was the massage…okay so when I booked they give you the names of who you will be with at certain times, so I was expecting Wendy and my massage was supposed to be done by I believe they had Olga typed in. But I end up with Victoria, she was nice, was very very soft spoken so I really couldn’t hear what she was saying to me. The massage, so the pressure she used on my back and my arms was perfect but when it came to my legs and feet it felt like I was being tickled. And while I know I could ask for more pressure it just felt weird that I would have steady pressure immediately on my back but my legs and feet immediately had light pressure? I’ve been coming to Tranquility Spa for over a year now and it’s always an amazing experience! The front desk is always warm and welcoming, and all the therapists I’ve had have been wonderful. I recently had Elena and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. She went above and beyond during my service making sure I was comfortable and treating my areas of discomfort. She seemed to genuinely care about reducing my pain and even gave me great tips of what I could do at home to help. I’ve been mostly pain free for a week and it’s all thanks to her!! Less

My wife made an appointment for my brithday and even gave them a card on file for the reservation to confirm the appointment. When I get there and the women at the front counter tells me that they gave my appointment away to someone else because she couldn't answer when she was at work.... thanks for making us drive an hour for nothing on birthday! You said you left my wife a voice-mail that a lie she has voice-mail disabled so its impossible for you to do that. The second lie is that you call her this morning you only called her yesterday on top of when she tried to call today your phone kept going to voice-mail without anyone picking up. So not only do you practice screwing up your customers day but you also lie about what happens to make your salon look better. That's fantastic to know.... what a joke! Let them know way ahead of time i wanted a couples massage with my fiancee, but they made us both wait 20 minutes into our massage time, and didn't even have what we asked for set up. I'm beyond disappointed with Tranquility. I come here almost every month for a massage and I've never had a problem until today. I booked my appointment through the appointment scheduler online and it was made with Chris at 1:15 PM on 1/12/2020. I'm 7 months pregnant so I've been looking forward to this massage since I made the appointment last week. I come in at 1:10 and advise the front desk that I'm checking in at which she tells me that she didn't have me down and that they're booked for the day. She then asked me if I received a confirmation email which I noticed that I did not and it's at the time she told me that they've been having issues where appointments booked online aren't coming through and that's why I need to look out for the confirmation email implying that it's my fault essentially that the appointment wasn't booked. She tried to offer me Monday and at this point I just started crying and told her how much pain I'm in because of the pregnancy and that Monday won't work because I work and only select therapists can see me due to me needing prenatal. It's at this point that I left and cried the whole way back to my car and on top of all of it I had to pay $5 to park for literally nothing. I won't ever come back here because I felt like she could’ve handle this so much differently which makes me sad because I really like coming here and I like the massages but if when I make appointments i need to worry that they aren't being documented then I'll just have to find somewhere else to go. After calling a month ago and asking if my gift certificate was still okay, they have now told me that my $200 gift certificate is invalid due to new ownership in February. I asked only a month ago and was not told that. Now, I have a worthless $200 gift certificate and am extremely unsatisfied with the way that was handled. I had been to Tranquility once before for a massage and facial and really enjoyed myself. This time I had a gift certificate to use so I got a few services. What I learned was, I would certainly return for a facial or massage, but that’s it. The eyebrow wax was overall fine but when I got home there were a few very obvious hairs I still needed to take care of... not a huge deal. But the pedicure and manicure was absolutely a waste of money. While my toes look fine , for the amount they charged, not a whole lot was done. My manicure was useless. Besides trimming my nails with the cutters, there was hardly any filing or cuticle care (I regularly get manicures and know how much cleaning up of my cuticles I need). When I got home and looked at my nails, they looked terrible. My mom thought I painted them myself. I actually had to remove it the next day because it looked flat and terrible. Again, my facial was fantastic and I purchased products to use but just would not recommend the manicure and pedicure services. Less

The experience was nit a good one, so this time I wandered around until I accidentally found Tranquility Wellness Spa. The owners were absolutely delightful and so accommodating of my walk in status. I got the best one hour facial, a heart of the ocean facial, with an awesome esthetician, and a deep tissue 90 minute massage, as well. I have been a regular for massages for 20 years, so I am not a stranger to spas. I came in a lot of pain, and left with none. I used the steam room and left feeling like a million dollars. I booked my appt and was surprised they wanted my credit card # as I been there many times. I arrived in 15 minutes. As I was soaking nails I received 3 phone calls and then answered. We then realized I booked wrong Tranquility. I live in Lakeland. They charged me no show fee $24. Most spas don't charge. I would advise don't give credit number to a salon. I am a regular customer for monthly beauty services. I have very sensitive skin and eyes and my practitioner Cindy always takes good care of me and found the perfect tinting color to suit my eyelash and eyebrow tints, which is tricky since I'm a redhead. I love Tranquility for regular services like this, but it is also a great place for special services or spa experiences. A spa date with my bestie was our Christmas gifts to each other last year and we had so much fun, looking forward to relaxing and luxuriating together again this year. I highly recommend this place! We had the pleasure of going to Tranquility Wellness Spa at the end of our anniversary weekend festivities. They were a life saver an managed to squeeze us in last minute after a different company had canceled hours before our appt. As we entered we were greeted with friendly smiles and hellos like we were second family. We did not have to wait long and were quickly taken back to freshen up after being given a quick tour of the gorgeous facility and where to meet our therapists in the lounge room where we could also find refreshments. Directions were explained thoroughly and with care. They had lockers to secure your valuables and large, luxurious, plush comfy robes inside for us! My husband was so excited for his surprise. Every area was clean, organized and so serene and inviting with such pleasant aromas! We had a wonderful couples evening planned at the spa. We had a couples massage planned in their honeymooners room under the twinkling "stars" followed by relaxing in the sauna together with eucalyptus aromatherapy. My massage therapist Cristiane was easy to talk with and was extremely warm and professional. She provided useful information to me. I did feel good the next day when getting out of bed...not as stiff. My leg and knee area which she concentrated on felt better. SHE IS PHENOMENAL, I would highly recommend her! She was attentive and very skilled. Due to my medical conditions I have to be very cautions when choosing who works on me and shes done reflexology on me in the past. Many times deep tissue massages can be uncomfortable or even painful, she incorporated mild stretching with the massage. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and needed instead of telling or pushing onme what she thought would be best even if it meant potential pain. So thanks! It was a perfect end to an amazing weekend. They were incredibly sweet, we were able to shower and freshen up for dinner afterwards. Such a calm, relaxing, and professional atmosphere. Wonderful place with an incredible ambiance and staff (Cristiane, Taylor, & Ashlee')! Excellent care, she listened to my requests and concerns. Loved her energy and advice. My mom and I came when we visited St. Pete’s and she got a massage and I got a facial. She enjoyed her massage fine and my facial was so-so. My facial lady was very young and didn’t know exactly what was in the products. Also, the people behind the desk didn’t know the details of the products either. I loved it! I am going through chemo treatments so I decided to get a facial instead of a massage. I got Monica as my tech, she was amazing. I am a salon owner and a stylist of 32 years and that was the most relaxing experience I have ever had. I think I actually dozed off for a minute or two a couple of times. When I left my face was glowing and I felt refreshed and recharged. Such a great experience that I booked a package deal for when I am finished with my last treatment so that I can partake in the complimentary glass of wine that they offer. This was the WORST spa experience I have ever had to endure. It is Mothers day & I planned a 2 hour/each Relaxation massage for my best friend & I, same room. I was treated unfairly, & my therapist didnt do her job. Based on the reviews & colleague recommendation I was not prepared for this dissapointment. I want to point out I am not a spa novice. I get regular weekly massages. I wanted something a little more luxurious for Mothers day. I had Chris(female) therapist. With in 15 minutes I could tell she didn't know what she was doing. She did not have any proper technique, didn't know the muscle anatomy, attempted to apply some technique, failed at those attempts, didnt use enough oil, so there was some friction, would just stop & put light pressure with open hand on a part of my body for couple mins, wasn't even able to properly perform stretches. I wanted to say something earlier, but I didnt want to ruin my best friends experience, so I tried to wait for her to do her job, 40min no changes. I politely asked to leave the room by excusing my self to the restroom, so I could alert staff discretely. There was no one in sight.I go back in. I tried picking a small area for her to work on, tried asking for different types of pressure. 15min no difference. I give up & politely advise I was not enjoying my massage and I dont want her to keep going. I then spoke with the front desk to advise in more detail what was happening. I still liked the facility, so I requested to reschedule the session on another Sunday with someone else and I advised that I do not feel like I should have to pay for services today since I didnt get what I paid for, I told her I will try & enjoy sauna while I wait on my friend. I get to the suana and I come across a group of 4 loud drunk obnoxiously behaving females. I heard them talking and laughing loudly when our session started(over the music). Which was hardly conducive to my tranquil experience that I came here specifically for. That was my last straw, I got dressed and waited for my friend. I then started to cry because all I wanted was a nice tranquil massage that would make my body feel better, but instead it was noisy, and stressful. I could have just stayed home with my screaming kids for that.I decided to advise the front desk that I actually don't even want to reschedule, because this was not the experience I was led to believe I would be getting, based on the website and reviews and I am not paying for anything, but the services that my friend received. I then explained about the 4 ladies and advised this was a complete failure on their part. I came for peace and quite, and a massage, and based on today I am at the wrong spa. She then advised she could give me 20% off, because services were performed. I argued those are not the services I paid for. She argued back, that I took too long to complain. I advised I tried earlier and no one was in sight. I also advised they do not have any measures in place to allow someome to feel safe and comfortable to address an issue like this. I did not feel comfortable advising the therapist that she wasnt doing her job. I also didn't want to affect my friend who was in the same room. The woman consults manager, they offer 50% off. I refuse. They argue fairness to the therapist for time. As a customer I should not have to be penalized for their employee not doing their job. If they believe their staff should be paid regardless of actually working, they should pay them.At this point I am over being treated unfairly and I agree to pay, so I can leave this hell. The worst part was their rebuttals. Advising that maybe I needed a deep tissue. I know what I was supposed to get(my friend got it).To suggest otherwise is an insult to my intelligence. They claimed the therapist was not fresh out of school,had been there for years, & never had any complaints.That is either blatant lies or the woman purposely didnt do her job. This spa was completely wrong, I will make sure people know. I guess at least my friend was able to get a proper massage for her mothers day. Less

Tranquility therapists are experienced, professional, and they have longevity, which reflects so highly on the establishment! My recent visit was nothing less than perfect. Max was my therapist, and he was amazing! I even used the steam sauna after (included with the price of the massage), and it was just such a wonderful way to end my appointment.
