All information was thorough and complete with attention to detail based on my needs or wants. From beginning to end professional, patient, attentive, and an overall incredible lady that made me feel like I was with one of my besties. The studio is amazing! I loved how the lighting reflected beautifully in the photos. Jennifer was phenomenal at making me relax. She helped me with every single detail from picking outfits, suggesting accessories, showing me how to pose with clear easy directions, to adjusting my clothes or hair during the shoot all while we chatted and laughed throughout the shoot. Overall, she made me feel so very comfortable, pretty, sexy, and most importantly to me, relaxed as if I was hanging out with a friend. When it was time to review my photos, I was blown away that those images were me and they hadn’t even been edited, yet. The hardest part of the day was narrowing down the photos. I scheduled my phone consultation with Jennifer and everything just clicked. Sparked! I felt so comfortable just speaking with her, telling her all of my insecurities, and just letting her into my brain for a bit. Because I was going to be a client in her new studio here, she kept in constant communication with me, letting me know the progress on construction and if we needed to push back my session. We did but I was totally on board because I knew it would be completely worth it. When it was finally time, I was excited to be the first client in the new studio. I was greeted y Jennifer herself along with her makeup artist for the day. I was guided to the dressing room to change into a comfy robe to get my hair and makeup done. Jennifer asked me to pull out the outfits I brought so she could create a personalized shot list for my session, which I totally appreciated. I love an organized photoshoot! She made me feel COMPLETELY at home. The secret is to just listen to her! She knows what she is doing. I was so comfortable in my own skin that I didn't even give a second thought to my insecurities. We laughed, we laughed some more, and we contorted into weird positions to get that SHOT! Want to know the BEST part of her studio? It's the freaking rain room!!!!! It's so much fun and I highly recommend this set to anyone that just wants to have some fun! After my shoot, I dried off, got dressed, and then we sat down and reviewed all of my images. She helped me pick and choose my faves (I had a lot). I love that I was in control of choosing my own images. I was able to decide which photos I thought were hot and sexy and just darn good! I received my digital images back in record time and am now awaiting my physical album. I cannot thank Jennifer enough for making my first boudoir session one to remember. I decided to reserve a spot with Jennifer to do my boudoir shoot when it hit me that, while I may not be 25 anymore and things aren’t where they once were, at 45 I am at my prime. I wanted to capture that before I got any older. I’m not the most daring or outgoing person and I was obviously scared to have someone take pics of me in lingerie(!) but can I just tell you how amazing Jennifer and her team are?! She made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. She helped me select my fits for the shoot and allowed me to be a little creative as well. After about 20 minutes in, I was so comfortable that I asked her if I could try a few different poses. She was patient with me as I kept forgetting my right from left and assured me it happens to everyone. Ha! I would say the best part is after the shoot when she shares your photos with you. Jennifer is an artist!!! She took the most amazing photos of me. I saw myself in a way that I haven’t for a very long time. I was a beautiful, sexy, badass in every picture! I left that session feeling so good and so appreciative of who I am and how far I’ve come in life. In a word, it was EMPOWERING! Last month I had the absolute privilege of having a Boudoir shoot with the ever talented, Jennifer Lynn James, and it was such an amazing experience I felt compelled to share my story and why I booked this shoot for myself!! I'm 41 years young and my name is Jennifer, but everyone calls me, Joppy. I'm a tomboy at heart and live in NOVA on a small farm with my family, 1 hubby of a decade, 2 human kids (a 15 year old son, and a 7 year old daughter), 6 goats, 3 Frenchies, and 2 barn cats! To me it's a glamorous lifestyle, but it's not one spent dolled up! I was scrolling Facebook one day and saw a friend post her photos and I was blown away! They were beautiful, classy, and timeless and I was so intrigued I messaged her asking about the photographer! I joined Jennifer's Facebook group, Supernova Boudi Babes, and discovered there were others each with their own beautiful Boudoir photos and reasons for having them taken! This was a group full of different women from all walks of life who inspired and supported each other and I wanted to be apart of it! It was time for me to do this for myself and celebrate where I was in my life because it hasn't always been pretty! I'm a survivor of repeated childhood trauma and early Mother loss that led to depression, anxiety, divorce, addiction, suicidal thoughts, and one incredible and beautiful comeback!! I had been busy doing a lot of soul work over the last decade and finally felt good in my own skin and had finally discovered myself. Sadly, I still saw all of the negatives when I looked in the mirror. I wanted to see the strong, beautiful woman I knew I had been all along and this photo shoot was exactly what I needed to do for me to see myself in a new light! Photographs are great for storytelling and celebrating moments in life we don't want to forget and more often than not, we women are taking the pictures of everyone else. We should celebrate our feminity and our bodies to remind ourselves of what we've overcome or simply because we feel beautiful! Booking the shoot with Jennifer was an experience that truly changed my perspective and built my confidence from within! I was nervous and excited and not sure how I'd pull off sexy, but all of the nerves went away once I got to Jennifer's beautiful loft studio! She's such a lovely woman with a beautiful soul herself, and she talks you through every pose and encourages you with a fun and lighthearted vibe! Finn, her in house make-up artist, set the tone for a lovely day by glamming me up and doing my hair which was a first for me and she has a groovy Irish accent! I left the shoot feeling like a Queen for the day and was on cloud 10! My husband went with me to my reveal and together with Jennifer's help we put together my album! The only thing difficult about my shoot was picking through all of the beautiful images because they were ALL that good!! My marriage got a boost from this experience because I felt more confident and sexy! Most importantly for my story is I finally saw the woman that I have worked so hard to become!
