I joined the Tuffcore 6 week challenge because I wanted to kick-start my fitness regime after slipping into bad habits and not doing any exercise for 3 months. Tuffcore has the added bonus of offering ladies only classes which was something that appealed to me. Igor and his team are incredibly welcoming whatever your level of gym experience, fitness and age. Classes are small and exercises varied (which is good if like me you get bored doing the same routines all the time). They also keep an eye on you throughout the classes and quickly adapt exercises to accommodate any injuries or specific weakness you may have so that you can get the most out of the sessions. Great care is taken to ensure that you use the correct technique and that you build up your strength safely and there is absolutely no judgement about ability. As well as the three sessions each week you are fully supported with comprehensive nutritional advice, wellbeing advice and encouragement from the coaches and the other ladies in the Tuffcore family. After the 6 week challenge my fitness levels have improved considerably so that I am again running 5k several times a week, am stronger and more toned, more flexible, and have more energy. There may be cheaper options out there but I have found Tuffcore to be worth every penny for the holistic approach that they have and the fact that you are genuinely made to feel part of the Tuffcore family from day 1. From my first call with the Coach, Igor he got it, got me and I’m sure many others before me. All I had to do was to turn up, put in effort and be consistent under his guidance. Consistency is key. Small circuit classes of mixed ability under the guidance of Igor, omnipresent and able to give individual guidance throughout, is what makes this gym different. The attention to detail that is shown and knowing when to push and encourage just a little more is all part of the process. I met Igor first and he is stellar! I was welcomed with open arms and he took his time getting to know she takes time out of her me. He modified some of the exercises to suit me. He pushes you in a fun way and also listens. I was terrified when I arrived but I was happy and exited to come back when I left. Agata the other trainer has been a blessing. She overhauled my diet and put me on the right path. She is a wonderful listener and trainer. Both Igor and Agata has pushed me, helped me gain confidence, and taught me that I can do hard things. They are worth every penny and then some. The classes are filled with other woman that push you and cheer you on. TUFFCORE is by far the best place to overhaul every facet of your life. I really enjoyed my intro session with Igor because he responds to my specific needs and he's extremely friendly. He has a lot of knowledge and makes you feel at ease regardless of your skill level, so do the amazing ladies in the class. You wonder whether you're ever going to be able to get through a whole workout properly and you watch in awe as other women make it look easy while you're dying 😂🤬 Then suddenly you notice you've done a few more reps than before, or you can lift a bit more weight, or you're finally getting the hang of a particular movement and you realise what progress you've made and feel incredibly proud of yourself and motivated to push yourself further. Though the classes are tough, they're always fun, and you have such a buzz afterwards. If you turn up, follow the exercises and work hard then before you know it you've competed a fantastic full-body workout - in that sense going to class is easy! Igor is super knowledgeable and he does a brilliant job of tailoring the workouts to individual needs and fitness levels. He is warm, friendly, funny and caring and the vibe is always supportive and motivating. The classes are small enough that you get personal attention but there are enough people to create a fun atmosphere. The women are of all ages, all backgrounds and all fitness levels and you will feel incredibly welcome wherever you are on your fitness journey. I was nervous that I would make a fool of myself, or I wouldn't stick to it and fail again like exercise in the past, or it would be cliquey and I wouldn't fit in. Well, none of the above is true. I actually like going to the gym now! The really friendly atmosphere that working in small groups creates means you're not intimidated and can push yourself in ways that you wouldn't feel comfortable doing in a big, mainstream gym. It is one of the best class in Oxford. Igor and Mody are amazing coaches, they know how to choose the perfect exercise and level for you. Tuffcore honesty changed my relationship with exercise and how I felt in myself. I love the small group nature of the workouts; it means you get attention and support but without the relentless (and sometimes awkward) focus on a 1-1 trainer. I am really bad at motivating myself to do exercise, and yet somehow I've stuck with these guys from months and months. Even when I'm exhausted, they can still get me moving. I can only assume it's down to their friendly attitudes and seemingly endless enthusiasm.

Attending TUFFCORE 3 times a week has made me fall back in love with fitness. The classes with the other ladies are fun, engaging and you left feeling love you’ve really accomplished a personal goal each time.

This is a great and fun training place. Igor makes the sessions really exciting by encouraging you to work hard while having a laugh. Tuesday and Thursday were my free classes with the 6 Week Transformation. On the Tuesday, Igor greeted me for the first time and straight away used my name/knew who I was. Since, he has pushed me every class - knowing what my goals are. Each session is thought out with a woman’s body in mind. Its different each time, but of course with parts that do so you can get PBs. It’s as much a face workout as a body one, constantly smiling and laughing whilst being supported mentally and physically by Igor and Mody. I looked up Tuffcore and thought it fit what I needed. I joined with some level of skepticism, not that I doubted the trainers’ credentials but more the atmosphere and effectiveness of their model. I was proven wrong, thankfully :) Tuffcore delivered on their promises in three ways: 1- Tuffcore made my wants and concerns as an individual the centre of their offering. I was a visible person from the second I contacted them and not a membership number on their system. This is why it’s suitable for women from various walks of life that are short on time and energy and feel the need for better physical health irrespective of their stage of fitness and physical abilities but are tired of gyms. It’s the closest to a personal trainer provision but with less pressure both psychologically and financially. It’s that sweet-spot that provides the ‘group’ motivation of a gym without being lost in numbers and left to struggle on your own. You are an individual that gets checked on in class and outside. Missing a class becomes a rarity rather than a gym norm! 2- Tuffcore provides ‘a safe environment’ for women who empathise with and support eachother as they tackle their fitness goals. What enticed me to join Tuffcore was that it catered for women only, and women over the ages of thirty, it was reassuring to know that the group of ladies were probably like minded and in the same boat in relation to fitness. I was pleasantly proven wrong. The women in my class were amazingly strong and fast paced, whereas I was embarrassingly feeble in strength! I knew I had to play catch-up and continue to do so. What made it easy to adjust and become part of the group was that the ladies were extremely forthcoming and supportive from the outset. From the beginning, I was welcomed by both coach’s Igor and Mody. Their laid-back persona made me very comfortable to engage in class, free of any intimidation. We frequently discuss dietary needs, intake which led me to change some eating habits. I eased off the takeaways in the evening and I now rarely eat after 8pm. They continue to push me in improving my strength and stamina by increasing weights in training. Diet modifications and regular exercise regimen helped me to return to my size six form, all my clothes now fit better, and I am now in the best shape ever. I am incredibly grateful to both Coach’s for my physical transformation results, and I look forward to maintaining as well as improving on this status by consistently attending the training sessions. I was already in a medium shape so it was a bit of a struggle to do the level of exercise and diet I needed to for changes to start happening however with his mental support I've managed to come out the other end with fantastic results. Having Igor as a coach continually nudging me to get to the gym and sending across my food diary every day helped to keep me on track to get me into the best shape I’ve been in for a long time. We also went through exercises and training plans I just wouldn’t have known about or been able to do without properly being shown how. He was acting odd. Failed to reply to any of my messages or phone calls. I only did half the classes and still had many left to go and refused to refund me so atleast I can look for another trainer. I kept trying to come back to be trained by him as i really thought he would be a trustworthy person and everyone deserves a second chance but turned out to be a money leech and incompetent. I am disappointed Igor. I really would have continued training but numerous times you have failed to get back in touch with me despite my efforts. I began '6 Week Alpha Transformation Programme' with Tuffcore Fitness following few minor injuries, with the goal to get back to exercising regularly but safely. Igor’s approach to each session has been great where we have focused as a group on rebuilding core strength, reintroducing weights as well as cardio, it's literally super effective sessions when you mix these 3... and the results are fantastic, after few weeks my shoulders have become so much more visible. Combining my own jogs with our 6 Week Alpha Training have helped me get my back to ful recovery and I am becoming stronger, feel great and my confidence is off the roof. Especially when you do not know someone. if you ever ask him to send you something like your measurements again and again , then do not expect him to. He kept forgetting or telling me he was not in the studio when i had passed with my car a couple of times and he was in those days with someone else training. He used to run late at times and I found him very expensive for a class that had a few of us and was not 1:1. Nothing was signed in case of injury etc as far as i remember. During lockdown he sadly showed a different side to himself and showed me how unimportant myself and another person that had paid for sessions were. He owns me 6 or 7 sessions and i will never get to complete those or even get a refund back. His moto during each session at the studio was "no refund ladies, no refunds". Now i understand why... When lockdown was coming to an end he asked me when and if i would be happy to come back and i had explained yes but perhaps with less people in including some measures, if possible. His answer then to me was "Are you going to be one of those people that will come in with a mask and gloves one"? I found that disrespectful to people that have been sick or lost their lives up until that point from Covid. It is too personal to make such comments. He would show favoritism very clearly and that is something you should avoid as some people may feel uncomfortable. He also decided to put first his older and more fun clients before people like me that were newer, when we were able to return back. I was asked what slot i wanted and when i explained my usual due to work, he informed me that that was given to the older members. Not sure why i was asked in that case if he had already spoken privately to others before me. Unprofessional. He would not reply back when i asked him about the sessions. He would ignore me for days when all i needed to know is when can i return and so he decided to hold my funds and never refund me. I have lost nearly half of what i paid .. Hence why i would advise that if anyone is looking for something similar then look around because you will find something cheaper and more professional. Less

I remind him that he owes me significantly more sessions and tells me that he's too busy and he may get round to coaching me at some point before failing to reply at all. The whole thing was very frustrating and I would suggest that you spend your money elsewhere because I wasted significant time and money throughout this whole ordeal and really felt like I had been lied to and scammed about what I was going to get. I am new in town and I have just been going for 2 weeks because as it comes to regular gym routines, those haven't worked out for me. Sometimes the number of attendance increases but on the positive side we do alternative workout one start and one rest, sounds easy but the faster the other person works out the less time you have to rest compare to the gym if I was alone, I would have given up because no one would have been there to push, motivate me and keep me working hard. In those group I have come to meet many wonderful ladies who encouraged each others to get in shape and also share healthy eating habits. I worked long variable hours and it is financially affordable for me to join the group classes. My schedules changes at the time but I have managed to be flexible and go three times a week to either the morning sessions or evening ones. They do offer individual classes as well at different times of the day but I prefer the group sessions at moment. NmB Less

I've been going to a commercial gym for over a year, but didn't manage to lose weight. Started training with Igor and lost 5 kg in 6 weeks.
