I was in so much pain when I found Dr.Myers. I could not sit or walk without pain. Well, I had no idea how out of wack I was until I started doing regular adjustments. i have been a patient for over 3 years with a standing weekly appointment. i am 69 years old and i am grateful to Dr Rayce and his lovely wife Rita with helping me to continue to live in excellent health. recently Dr Rayce corrected an issue with my "special needs" right foot - bunion and hammer toe (yuck) i like to take long walks (2-3 hrs) was starting to have problems. i am careful with inserts and good walking shoes, however, he found an issue with the foot and - hooray - he fixed it with just a little little bit of pain. if i have any questions he takes the time to answer and then makes sure that i understand - that is important. Well my co-pay sounded kind of expensive so I called my insurance while I was driving down, and to my delight my co-pay was only $5. Once at the Chiropractic office I signed in, the reception lady was very nice and asked for my insurance card and ID. A few min’s later, I informed her that I spoke to my insurance and my co-pay was only $5 and not the $30 which she told me over the phone. Her face dropped and went cold, she stated that my “co-payment” was more because they “did not accept my insurance.” I asked why she told me over the phone they accepted my insurance...she didn't have an answer and just said “sorry.” I then asked why she called it a “co-payment” if they don't accept my insurance…..(in reality she was just trying to make me pay cash for the whole visit.) She looked like a child who had just been caught with there hand in the cookie jar…..she got very uncomfortable and just kept saying sorry. So long story short, they tried to manipulate me to pay $30 instead of just telling me they did not accept my insurance and directing me somewhere that did. If I hadn't called my insurance I would never have known. I wasn't able to be seen since now I had to pick up my daughter and run her to all her sports events and so forth.
