I had let my concealed carry permit lapse about 5 years ago and decided to renew with James. The online course answered most of the questions I had and James answered the remaining ones and clarified a few points for me. At the live fire test, he gave me some spot-on advice to correct a few things that needed correction. All in all, it was a great experience.

As someone who has very limited experience when it comes to owning a firearm, Mr. Dowler was very patient and willing to answer any questions I had. I really liked the half online, half in-person training as that meant you didn’t have to sit learning for a long time! Any and all questions we had were answered quickly and thoroughly, by the instructor himself but also by the provided literature. By the time we got to the actual shooting portion, I wasn’t very nervous at all. He stood by our side (literally) through the entire ordeal, from start to finish, until we hit our intended target requirements (despite multiple missed attempts, ha). Both John and I felt a newfound sense of empowerment as we left with new knowledge that will make us safer while allowing us to peruse a fun, new hobby.
