He also does not like going to new places and usually is stressed however whenever we bring him there he is happy and is always excited when we go. Before coming here we had worked with another trainer but still struggled with walking and crate training. He walks nicely on his leash (not a perfect heel but he’s pretty close) and sleeps/eats in his crate which in itself is a miracle. Truly they have been a game changer and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. We plan to bring our other dogs for training as well and continuing training. I got a Dutch shepherd, not looking into the breed more than their social abilities, work drive, and handler bonds. We had a good run, he was a bit energetic but I handled him. Then came the first dog that lunged at him while working in 2021, where we’d have multiple instances of a dog lunging at him. I knew he was done when he snapped at a puppy and from there came separation anxiety, dog “aggression”, constant snapping, I felt unsafe having him around anyone he didn’t know, and pushing me to the point I wanted to get rid of him. Mariano and his team were so quick to answer, had the most reasonable prices so we saved up and made it happen. From the eval I could tell Mariano was full of enthusiasm for what he does and genuinely cares about the end game of our dog. Within 3 sessions we learned how why’s to his behaviors, and really got into the depth of what he REALLY needs. We went from 2-2 1/2 hours of running and training and drilling and more training to maybe 45 minutes and he’ll sleep the rest of the day. We went from and insecure dog that couldn’t trust his handler to protect him so he protected himself, to a dog that looks to you to see what YOU want. All because WE got trained the right way. Mariano gave us not only a goal, but a real possibility of independence again. He doesn’t use anything I wouldn’t use on myself, he isn’t scared of a big dog with teeth and “aggression”, he’s built up my dog to manageable, lovable family member. If you’re struggling or at the end of your wits or even just want to learn how to teach your pup something new, 100% recommend. So at that point we knew we needed to find a trainer that was not only effective, but would care for our concerns and our dog. Now let's get to how Untamed, and Mariano helped us. Mariano was beyond attentive and straightforward about the plan we needed to implement to help Isaac. What we thought would just be leash work to help his reactivity led us to learn the true process that makes a dog attentive and obedient. He set out a great plan over 5 weeks that gave us homework as well to reinforced what we learned and make sure we and Isaac were prepared for our follow-up lesson. This leads me to remind people that you need to put in the work between lessons, because had we not followed this request from Mariano, we would't have gotten Isaac's focus and obedience as fast. The homework Mariano gave us was detailed and straightforward and didn't take much more than 15 minutes a day between sessions. So at this point you are probably wondering why i've left such a detailed review, but it is because of the results. So any person that's read this far is probably a dedicated dog mom or dad and are here for the details of who they are entrusting with the well-being of their dog. Results: Isaac can now walk past any dog on and off leash and stay focused. We can point to a place in our house or friends house and tell him to go to a certain place and he will go sit, and lie there until we release him. He knows heel, right, and middle and even some tricks now as well. These results have helped my relationship with Isaac improve tenfold and help ensure his safety as well. I get comments all the time about how well-behaved Isaac is, and I always tell people that he wasn't always like that, and that I owe it all to Mariano and Untamed. Less

I have a dog that over time became aggressive toward strangers and more importantly people at boarding facilities. It got to the point where I was never going to be able to leave my home for a vacation or to visit my grandchild unless I either found a boarding facility that would take him or I put the dog down. I tried several very well regarded trainers but they could never develop a relationship with the dog to get close enough to him to train him. It became such an issue that I had scheduled the appointment to put the dog down. To make sure I exhausted all avenues I made an appointment with Mariano at Untamed Dog to evaluate my dog. Mariano was recommended by one of the previous trainers that didn’t work out. Mariano correctly identified that no other trainer had ever developed a relationship with the dog so that he could “actually” be trained. Mariano felt he could develop that relationship. The day before I was scheduled to put the dog down I dropped him off for a 4 week board and train. That was a close call. The end result was a resounding success. We would meet back with Mariano and our dog weekly to observe the dog’s progress and more importantly to be trained in the activities that we would need to continue upon the dog’s return home to keep his training in place. Untamed Dog also posted progress videos and photos on Instagram which were very helpful. And even though Mariano took a lead role with our dog because of his history he was also able to get his other trainers to build a friendly relationship with our dog which further expanded his progress. I also have another dog who also became an issue with boarding facilities. So I also enrolled him with Untamed Dog for a three week board and train program. He also developed a very strong bond with everyone. Since Untamed Dog also offers boarding to graduates of the their training I now have a happy and safe place to board my dogs for the rest of their lives. His trainers and him used social media to post lessens they we're working with him as well as general updates that helped us keep up to date easily, especially while we we're out of country for 8 days. The dog we picked up after the 3 weeks was completely different than the one we dropped off. We immediately saw a big reduction in his reactivity to other people and dogs, and had some tools and techniques to correct behaviors if he started to slip, and continue his training at home. We attended an alumni class the day after picking him up, which was perfect for our situation, since it was clear I needed as much training in handling a reactive dog as Lenny did. He was return to us able to focus, able to calm himself down from the manic state with direction, the biting and nipping was almost gone entirely and was prepared to come with us in public following good etiquette of heel, sit, down, place. Afterwards Mariano continued to support our learning with the follow up lessons and now his group follow up trains with other owners and their dogs who have gone through one of his training programs. I have never seen or experienced someone who is as dedicated, patient and knowledge about dogs and the psychology behind ensuring everyone is setup for success. I would recommend Untamed to anyone who has a new puppy, adult dog needing to change behavior or learn new ways or for owners with great dogs who they themselves need to understand how to be responsible owners. We couldn’t have found a better dog trainer for our golden doodle Maple! After reading Marino’s bio - I knew immediately he is passionate about what he does. We met with Mariano and ensured this was the perfect fit. His knowledge about dog behavior and training is second to none. We booked Maple for 3 weeks straight of dog training. (VERY fair pricing) Although it was hard to leave her that long, I wouldn’t change a thing! Maple is the most obidient puppy I have ever had now! She loves practicing her new tricks. Mariano’s dog training package comes with 4 additional training sessions after the 3 weeks to brush up on skills and teach new ones. This is very needed because not only do our pets need training, but us owners need training on how to continue practicing what they have learned. Money well spent! My wife and I did a board and train for 2 weeks with 2 of our dogs. The dogs we got back were definitely not the dogs we dropped off! I can not recommend Mariano enough! He is professional, reliable, a true dog behaviorist and will do what is best for your dog! Mariano did an amazing job training our dog. We bought a labradoodle puppy and, thanks to his great training, she is well disciplined and obeys well. I would highly recommend Mariano to my friends and for any type of dog. He has a calm approach and it shows that he loves all dogs.

You couldn't find better people to train you & your pups. I highly recommend them not only for training but also as a great place for boarding.
