CrossFit Humanity’s 24/7 and open gym access is misleading to me. I was told that the back half of the gym was for 24/7 access while the front half was for class space. Every time I go, classes take up the entire space of the gym which is great for business but I feel it’s been super misleading for anyone who’s pays for open gym and 24/7 access. I feel there is rarely any space for me to ever do anything unless I go during non class hours which are extremely inconvenient as non class hours are a small gap during most people’s work day. ***What drove me to write this review though is when I signed up for the open gym access, I specifically asked the gym owner Nick if I can cancel at any time as I was wanting to test things out. I specifically asked if there was a 30 day/month notice needed to cancel because most gyms have that. He said “no”. He said as long as I don’t cancel literally the day before billing, then I will be good and won’t get billed. I unexpectedly had to go out of town so I called multiple times and left voicemails but no call back. I messaged on Instagram and was told I will have to pay next month’s fee. Although it’s only one months fee I’ll have to pay before being truly cancelled, this really upsets me as I was told face to face by the owner that I would be able to cancel at any time with no notice and won’t be billed. Then when I confront them about it, I’m told “it wasn’t in writing”. Well true it wasn’t in writing but when working with a small business and talking face to face with the owner on many occasions, I felt the trust was there. And I asked Nick about the no notice less then 2 months ago. I was a loyal member for about 9 months. Less

Felix was out coach for our drop-in. Craig greeted us at the front desk and gave us the run down of the place. Everyone was super friendly, the warm-up, workout, and stretch was well organized and laid out. I’m recovering from an injury and they were extremely accommodating for making the movements approachable but still giving me a challenging workout.

I can honestly say that from the moment I walked in to this gym I was welcomed with open arms. My first intense workout back from my injury, definitely was a little nervous that I would be able to get through the training but Shay ensured that I walked out of there stronger and more confident in my strength. Great place to train! People are friendly and the coaches wonderful. Loved that they weren’t like the typical CrossFit gyms. Classes had more to offer then just CrossFit and coaches stressed form and technique to avoid injury and work around old injuries.

I look forward to them every weekend and then can't shut up about how much fun the class was for the rest of the day! They offer two small beginner classes with the head coach, Craig, that I took advantage of. I am still learning, so I especially appreciate the extra personalized tips I get from Coach Kylie during class to help develop my skills and strength. I think the name Humanity hits the nail on the head with the style of this gym! So I went even though I was petrified…seriously…but I am so grateful I went, it was amazing, the coaches Stephanie and Seth were so nice and welcoming and super helpful. The members are all welcoming too. I knew I was hooked, so signed up. The best part is how the coaches work with you at where you are at, they scale everything for you, they are super knowledgeable and help you with form. Coach Craig always restores my faith in something when I am doubting myself. They also have the app to track your progress, and it’s thrilling to see how I am becoming stronger. I am so happy I didn’t let my fear stop me from trying CrossFit humanity, they have taught me to trust in the process, going on a regular basis and working with their coaches it’s impossible not to become stronger. I only had a membership here for about 1 month and attended a few morning classes with John. The facility, staff, equipment, and culture are all A+++. My schedule didn't align at the time, but if that changes I'll definitely be back. 100% recommend!!

I dropped in when I was visiting town, and tried out a training. The place is quite spacious and well equipped. People were nice, the coach was well trained the training went smoothly. It was quite simmilar to what I experience anywhere else, still it is great to train in California, home of the sport.

Great place to get a workout. The coaches, staff and members is awesome. One workout and ur hooked. And they have a FREE Saturday morning class 😉 I always look forward to the end of my work day and I can get my fitness on.

Recently dropped into Crossfit Humanity for a few days of fitness while on a business trip to San Diego. Was warmly welcomed and included as if I was a long-time member. I just recently joined and from the moment I walked in the staff was very friendly and made me feel at home. They have a wide variety of classes and open gym so that you can pretty much get in a workout everyday regardless of your schedule. They are also dog friendly!

You cannot have a bad day after walking into this gym. All coaches and the classes they each teach challenge all levels.

It's one of the few things I look forward to each day I train. An absolutely amazing staff and community!

Plus, the location is easy to get to and parking is never a concern - a major plus for a San Diego gym!

Crossfit Humanity is more than just a box, it's a community and a lifestyle. I attended for 2 years, moved away, and a huge part of my decision to move back to San Diego is just how much I miss my daily workouts here. The programming, the coaching, the size, and location are all amazing. Drop in, you wont be disappointed!!

Visiting from the east coast I had a great experience for my first time dropping in while I am traveling for work. It was definitely worth the effort, Kelsey was great and very welcoming and the members just amazing. I hope I can visit some time again, and whoever is going to San Diego needs to come to visit you guys. Thank you so much.
