Great PT Here!I had a 40-yr old shoulder injury that was never rehabbed properly. Had a recent injury, headed in the same direction. Had been to more than 7 PTs over the years, none helped - they got you a little way, but it wasn't enough to make real, lasting progress - even though I continued their exercises at home. The medical industry's structure for PT is a bit at fault too. Here I can space my sessions as needed, NOT how insurance wants to space them every week, which is just wasteful of time & money & results.I have an extensive home gym and I lift weights regularly as my exercise of choice. So this 2nd injury was devastating and I was determined to address it. I just turned 70, so I was thinking well . . . maybe it's just time to replace the shoulder! I did all the surgical workups and got 2 opinions, and they both recommended replacing my right shoulder, but not my left.I decided to try PT . . . AGAIN, in hopes of preparing my left shoulder to tolerate the extra load when replacing my right. My naturopathic doc recommended Garrett at OR Mobility. It started out very slow & deliberate - very frustrating indeed - BUT after 6 months, of baby-step progressions, I now feel I will not need to even replace my right shoulder! And both are coming along quite well, although the pain and inflammation is not totally gone, I am much stronger. As long as I don't do something over my strength level & trash it, (aka something stupid!) I'm thinking this will work. It's a slow process, building back up, and I do believe Garrett's attention to detail and being annoyingly picky about correct form, make a huge difference . . . as well as helping to manage expectations. Just last week I got back to some semblance of a normal -balanced total upper body workout, albeit with lower loads, but I'm very happy about that progress!I was reluctant at first, but I really like that I can buy a package and then spread the sessions over the right time-frame for my goals for each session, sometimes 2 weeks, sometimes 6 weeks.I would definitely recommend OR Mobility.
