Will never use MD Construction and certainly wouldn’t recommend.I paid extra to have 6” 4000 PSI concrete poured for my drive instead of standard 4” 3000 PSI concrete, which should have been overkill, but I didn’t want to have to worry about the driveway again. One thing I noticed immediately is that they brushed leaves into the top of the drive, while cement was wet, instead of removing the leaves. Subsequently, there are leaf imprints all over the new driveway (see photo of one of the many imprints). The color consistency is also bad and there is one ~3’ x 2’ patch up by the garage that’s a completely different shade than the rest of the driveway.What really infuriates me, though, is that they didn’t order enough concrete and had to get bagged cement from Home Depot to finish the job. Within three to four weeks a crack formed in the area where they mixed bagged concrete with concrete from the cement truck. When I contacted the owner about the crack, he tried to convince me it was normal. Like I’m an idiot who would believe that a brand new 6” 4000 PSI concrete drive should have cracks in it. A quick Google search will tell you that mixing sacked concrete with ready-mix concrete that comes in a cement truck will definitely cause problems. Either the owner knew this and didn’t care, or he just doesn’t know what he’s doing.One thing I do know about concrete is that when water gets in a crack during the winter then freezes, the crack will only get bigger. Regardless, who wants a 3’ long crack in their driveway? Especially right at the front of a brand new driveway, which is the first thing anyone sees when they pull up to your house.Once the owner gets your money, don’t count on much if you have problems. The owner kept putting off fixing the crack by telling me how busy he is, but after contacting him several times, he finally sent someone out. The “fix” made the drive look worse and the crack is still there. Three months later and I’m still trying to get him to fix the problem. He basically told me he’s doing me a favor by fixing his shoddy workmanship.How this company has so many 5 star reviews is beyond me. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that positive reviews can’t be trusted anymore, especially when a company has nothing but 5 star reviews. I’m not suggesting the 5 star reviews are paid for fake reviews, but I will strongly suggest that you pay attention to my review and any other reviews from people who had horrible experiences.

Absolutely beautiful job with our backyard porch! We had an 11x18 concrete patio put in our backyard by Marlon and his crew in lieu of a 10x16 pergola, and they did wonderful work. Smooth surface, perfectly proportional, and professionally done in all respects. Can’t recommend them highly enough! Very reasonable price too.

Thank You MD Construction and crew for the excellent work done on my backyard patio. This being my first ever project constructed by myself in regards to concrete patio forms. I’m attaching a photo of the 14’ x14’ form before the concrete and a nighttime photo 2 days after the concrete pouring.(Dimensions: 14’ x 14’ x 6” thick) I’ve learned the hard way that concrete jobs are not for the faint of heart especially when you’re 71 years old. I thought that my wife and I were able to conquer this humongous task but we failed short. We were able to do one quarter section of it but it wasn’t a true victory after making 17 trips carrying 160lbs on a wheelbarrow (two 80lb bags per load on a wheelbarrow) of concrete mix traversing from our front driveway to our backyard; Then mixed it by hand lasting a grand total of 5hrs to finish the first quarter section of the patio and still not being able to finish the job. We were completely exhausted leaving a few dents along with a rough surface finish very unsatisfactory. I’ve spoke to Mr Davis about our situation and he told me that he could overlay it with a special mixture to fix our problem. Which he did superbly into perfection he’s definitely an artist, “The Maestro/The Mystro” directing his fellow musicians of concreto in perfect synchronized rhythm. Mr Davis and his crew were able to fill the other three squares with concrete to complete the job in less then half a day. He’s truly a lifesaver in fixing other peoples project deficiencies.Thanks Mr Davis again for a job well done, I’m attaching a before and after concrete pictures sorry about the nighttime photo. I’m planning on building a gazebo on top of it.

I will never hire this company again! They ran out of concrete right in the middle of my driveway and when the new batch came in, it wasn't the same consistency. He LAUGHED when I mentioned it, which was off putting, since I spent almost $15,000!!!After a few weeks, that same area began to show cracks.He is all frill on the outside, but on the inside, he is dark.Too preachy for me! I think he wanted me to pray that the cracks would go away!I just made him go away!!I will never do business with him again!

5/19 update:I had them back to do additional work as far as the drive up the building. I was asked at the end if I wanted them to use the additional concrete as an approach to my drive to make it smoother. What I got was a bunch of waste concrete smeared over all my good clean looking white gravel, my rail road ties are all sunk and broken where I can't even drive a motorcycle or low car into my drive. He then says his guy will come make it right, all he does is mix what i have left off my nice white rock with concrete bits and try to smooth up the drive, and now I have to take additional time and money to fix it all myself. I will not be recommending MD construction to anyone, I will not be using them in the future. This is completely unacceptable to leave a driveway like this and say it's fine. Especially when it was in better condition before.
