We contacted Pilgrim Pest Professionals at the end of February 2026 to treat our home for mice and to provide a quote for removal of birds in our attic. Our initial appointment (Feb. 26th) had to be rescheduled due to having 41 inches of snowfall at our home, and we were then seen on March 6th.Their technician, Sam, was great! Very professional and helpful. He set traps, sealed potential entry points, and I’m happy to say we haven’t seen or heard any signs of mice since. Unfortunately, our experience with the bird issue has been very different. Our attic is difficult to access (it’s more of a crawl space rather than walk up attic), so I expected a more thorough exterior inspection, especially of the roof where we’ve visibly seen birds entering and exiting. But, that didn’t happen. We were quoted $375 (discounted from $475 for bundling 2 services) to block 4–5 potential entry points that were seen from standing on the ground, but there was no confirmation of an active nest or even that birds were definitely inside, nor was there any explanation of how they would safely remove them.We moved forward with scheduling service anyway based on their strong reviews and scheduled service for March 17th. From there, things became frustrating. The appointment was rescheduled due to weather, with the next available day nearly a week later (March 23). I had to play phone tag with the office to reschedule this. Now today (March 23), the morning of that appointment, we were called and told it needed to be rescheduled AGAIN due to their technician calling out. It was then moved to this Thursday, March 26. Just 1.5 hours later, we received a text message stating they are no longer offering wildlife services AT ALL and referred us elsewhere, despite having just rescheduled us.I called the office to confirm and was told this change is effective immediately, meaning our appointment was canceled indefinitely. At this point, we’ve waited nearly a month and are back at square one with our bird issue. While I understand that things happen and empathize with any internal staffing challenges, the lack of communication and follow through has been extremely disappointing… especially after multiple reschedules.I do want to acknowledge that every employee we interacted with was kind and professional, which is the main reason for my 3-star rating (along with the fact that the mice issue appears to be resolved). However, overall this has been a frustrating experience. We’re also now locked into a quarterly contract for mice treatment that includes an undisclosed “early cancellation fee”, so we’ll be sticking it out for now.
