We recently engaged Jeremy from First Sun Solar to install a new solar and battery system at our property. From our first meeting with Jeremy we found him incredibly knowledgeable about both the solar systems he installs and supports but also emerging solar technologies and industry trends. Throughout the process of choosing a system there was no pressure and he was always ready to answer the many questions we had for him. One of the challenges we found when selecting a solar system is, most installers we had quotes from seemed to have a preferred system. We received 3 quotes from installers and all three included different systems (SolarEdge, Sungrow and Redback Technologies), which made it difficult to compare the quotes. Jeremy prepared an additional quote for us with one of the other systems and gave us an honest opinion of the pros and cons of each system so we could make an informed decision. Throughout the installation of the system Jeremy and his team kept us up to date with regular communication. We had a minor issue with firmware versions on our system that delayed us getting our battery fully connected straight away but I felt Jeremy escalated and resolved this issue quickly with the system manufacturer who I could see he had a good relationship with. I cannot recommend Jeremy highly enough if you’re looking to invest in a solar system and I have already recommended him to a number of friends looking for new solar systems. Jeremy will be the only person I speak to when it comes time to install a solar system for my parents’ house. Less

The worst experience I’ve ever had. Not just from a solar company but the worst EVER! I hesitate to write scathing reviews for anyone but this company deserved it after how we were looked after. First Sun Solar never kept their word on anything. Call backs, email replies, responding to enquires about something that went wrong with our solar. I can write an entire 3 pages about my experience, but here are the bullet points - Only got a reply from the team either after a threat of ACCC or Fair Trading (I would have to send multiple emails before getting to that point) - Process from start to finish took 8 months (including the wait for stock to arrive) - When an update was promised, I would need to ASK for the update several times before getting a reply, rather than the first sun solar team taking the initiative. - Installed the incorrect solar inverter which started the whole issue. - Very prompt when they try to get your business, forget about you when you want to ask them something after the sale. Would NEVER RECOMMEND this team for anyone including people I don’t even like. Choose your vendors wisely and based off trusted recommendations. Not just a Google Review. Less

They rang me 2 weeks after we signed up with them, to see how the roof painting was coming along and extended the time for the solar install by another 2 weeks. With the roof painted, the install went along smoothly and now looks awesome against the newly painted roof. Nothing was a problem for them. And now we are generating power from the sun to eliminate payment for electricity on our power bills, the app is also amazing. It lets you know how your panels are working and how much power you're generating and sending the excess power to the grid.
