It was a whole professional sit down and it felt weird trying the couch, talking about options and leaving, but I didn't want to wait 12+ weeks to have a couch. Paige then said she'd upgrade me to rush order and assured me it would only be between 6-10 weeks, so I went with the purchase. Sunday, Feb 5th, having some buyers remorse and look up the company and find some reviews on reddit about their customer conduct, having to wait 6 months for their couch when they were promised 8 weeks. Sounds kind of like my situation, so I got spooked and immediately emailed to cancel. Monday, Feb 6th. They denied by request. Paige texted me, basically said there's no possible way to get a refund because it was 'custom ordered'. "This is customary for custom furniture orders" which yeah, I get, but this is the next day. They couldn't have started it already! You can't just charge me a fee for the order and let me go? Apparently not. Because I was so upset, she offered to upgrade me to White Glove shipping where they'll set up the couch and get rid of everything, which I appreciated because I'm physically disabled and didn't want to do it by myself. March 8th, almost 5 weeks already, I get an email asking me to confirm the specs of my couch AND THAT IT WOULD BE READY IN 12-16 WEEKS. I try not to ever be a Karen but this entire thing is unfair. Because of their refusal to cancel, I reply with: 'this better be a typo' and they email: 'Oh this was scheduled to be sent a month later by accident' and then "It is now in the final stage of production and will soon be ready to ship to the Vancouver port. Once we have a tracking number we will send you an email update. " Okay... but then you also never sent, nor got confirmation about the specs before you started? What? I asked when expected delivery was, they said 5-8 weeks. Which... I wasn't happy to hear. I know there was technically 6 weeks left in that 6-10 ...but I expected to hear between 2 - 6, since nearly 5 weeks had passed. Can't do anything, so I wait and hate the couch before I get it. March 31st, I got an email that it was leaving port and that takes 40-60 days. I feel lied to. Why would you guarantee 6-10 weeks if port shipping alone takes that long? April 27th, I was sent an email that it arrived which was almost half as long, and a huge relief. But 12 weeks have passed already and I was promised 10 weeks at most. May 10th, I got a random email that my couch was delivered but didn't have it so I send an email going 'Hey, what's going on?' and they said it was still processing and hasn't even been shipped to me yet. Even though it's been 14 weeks now. May 19th, My couch is finally delivered. The delivery people have an attitude. They drop the boxes and leave, never even got my upgraded shipping, and had to set it up by myself which I did wrong, because I was upset and alone, and ended up sending a scathing Karen email, only for them to tell me to turn a piece 90 degrees. I was rude in my email, but to be fair, if I'd been upgraded like they promised, and it was set up, that wouldn't have happened. I'm giving two stars because the couch is beautiful looking and it IS very comfy. But the quality for 5 grand? Absolutely not. Feathers poke out so bad and often, and it's itchy. The stitch work was also shockingly bad with skipped stitches. I turn and flip my cushions but it's pretty lumpy which is disappointing. This purchase was the biggest regret of my life, and as much as I want to change the awful microfiber fabric I got, that never looks clean, and rubs it's color off on cords and pillows, I don't want to give this company more money. I have a customized sectional from Couch Haus and it truly is the best piece of furniture I have had yet. Over the years, I have had so many living room furniture pieces (7 to be exact) and each time there was something about them that dissatisfied me. However, with our sectional from Couch Haus I don’t have a single complaint. Our dog is our family, so he is on the couch and not one hair has dug its way into the performance linen. Our son is cruising around the house all day with muddy feet and a juice box in hand - a spill is not a problem. PLUS the covers come off to wash (even the frame cover). I haven’t had to do this yet because simply washing with a wet cloth works like a charm. The cushions are foam with a feather wrap giving you a cushy but supportive seat which we love. From start to finish the process was smooth and the furniture arrived at my front door within the 8-12 week timeline. Sure it’s a bit more pricey than big box stores but what I can tell you is…this product is made to last. Goodbye to the days where I had to upgrade every 2 years. Their customer service (who I had to constantly chase down because they would go weeks without replying) told me that I could either buy a new chair for a discounted price (with hopes that they'll get it right this time, I guess?) or a 20% discount on my purchase. 20% refund is not adequate for a wrong design! I was willing to pay a high amount for a custom piece, and I am stuck with the wrong item. They tried to gaslight me and say I didn't specify what I wanted, so I sent back the email chain showing I did specify exactly what I wanted... and they offered another $50 off. I wish I never trusted them. I also do not recommend giving them your cell number as their sales people are aggressive texters and there is no STOP option. ETA: as expected, their reply is a bunch of deflecting. I didn’t even mention that this chair was also explicitly instructed to have a swivel base, which it didn’t when received. If “no piping” or “with a swivel base” isn’t clear to you, you shouldn’t be in the furniture business. Sure “sloped arm and backrest with no angular corners” could mayyyybe be confusing… except I provided an image of what I wanted. Just copy the image! I have NEVER had such an uncomfortable sofa - IKEA is heaven in comparison - and unfortunately everyone in my household agrees: it sucks. It was definitely my mistake for trusting that it would be comfortable, without visiting the showroom in person and trying it first. You don't sink into it at all, and it feels like the sofa is pushing you off of it, it's so firm and shallow (I ordered the petite model). The pieces also slide away from each other and it looks sloppy. What I wish I had known, is that the petite version of this sofa, proportionally looks and feels very different to the larger versions. This was not communicated to me during the buying process, which was very rushed. I would never ever recommend this sofa to friends, family, or my online audience. The sad thing is that I will never recoup this loss as nobody sane would ever pay more than a few hundred for such an uncomfortable piece of furniture. I reached out to the company twice after purchasing: once about whether they would buy it back (they said no) and once about how to attach the sofa pieces (they never replied). I will add that during the order process, I specifically asked the owner how the modules attach to each other and she said "with connectors", but casually decided that it wasn't important to mention that this $4000 sofa doesn't actually come with the connectors included. Not only are they selling an uncomfortable product, but it's also an incomplete product. Hugely disappointed, do not recommend. EDIT TO ADD IN RESPONSE TO OWNER'S REPLY: Not sure who you're getting confused with but I never came to your showroom - the whole thing was done over the phone, which in hindsight was a huge mistake. A few months in, the “high rub count premium fabric” we settled on started to pill. Their customer service indicated we should use a de-piller but offered new covers at cost if we felt this was an issue. Fabric should NOT pill that fast and if they felt that was normal, let customers know up front. Offering new covers at cost is offensive and doesn’t show a company who stands behind their product. Two months later my partner and I were vacuuming and noticed the springs had broken under one of the components. We checked them all and this happened on every single component of the 3-seater couch including the ottoman. They snapped, ripped through the fabric on the bottom, and have exposed, sharp metal that has scratched up our floors. To clarify, we are not hard on our belongings and use the couch to relax. We are two young professionals with no kids. All in all, I would not recommend. We had two separate family members who were looking to buy new couches and wanted to know more about ours and as it stands now, I would not push them in this direction. We have the premium plus fabric in off white and it’s a gorgeous and durable fabric. Having a baby we appreciate that all of the covers are machine washable too! The cushions are nice and plush - we tend to sit in the same spots frequently and with previous couches there would be a permanent indent in the cushion - but not with this one! Simply fluffing and rotating the pillows has kept it looking brand new for the last month. Hopeful that this couch is going to last us years and years. Less

It is absolutely beautiful. I will start with the positive. Paige at our appointment was super helpful and professional. Though it was a really long wait for our couch, once it arrived, it is beautiful and comfortable. But I would advise against buying anything but couches from them. We bought 3 counter stools from them. First delivery, 1 arrived perfectly and the 2nd chair arrived broken. Sure things get knocked around during shipment. My issue was with how they handled this matter. I reached out to Paige and she told me to contact customer support. I thought ok, weird since she owns the company but sure. When I contacted CSR, Alex wrote back. No apologies, nothing. When I also asked why the chairs weren't staged at the warehouse like they were supposed to, which of they did, we would have seen the broken one at the warehouse, he did not even address this concern. No offer to pick up the broken chair from our house. They replaced the broken one, which will come in time with the 3rd counter chairs. They were delivered a few days ago, wrong size and slightly different designs than what we ordered. Called them, messaged them. 24hrs later I received a text message asking me to email them. You would think they would call. I'm currently still waiting to see what they will do. I will not order from them again. Less

I love my new couch. I went with the luxe depth comfy couch with a 2 seated and chaise with the premium (pet friendly) fabric and velcro covers. Couch Haus was a great option for me - I've got a strange shaped room with baseboard heater that needed to be avoided, and nothing commercial was going to fit. It took a while to get here, but for a custom sofa, that's to be expected. It still came within the shipping window I was given (12-16 weeks; arrived at 14 weeks). I loved the customizability of their sofas. Paige very patiently worked through my plans with me and I was even able to send her photos of the room and we brainstormed how best to make a sofa to fit my needs. I LOVE the option for velcro-on covers - as a pet owner, the ability to remove the cover/replace it if needed is awesome! The fabric feels like quite good quality and the sofa is super comfy. The design process was easy and it was nice being able to go see the sofa in person rather than having to make all my decisions online (although this is an option too if you prefer that). The company kept me updated throughout the process and was responsive when I had questions. Their zero interest, 3 month payment plan option also was great from a cashflow perspective. My only critique (hence 4 stars instead of 5) is I wish they came with a way to join the modules together. My sofa is in two parts (thankfully, otherwise getting it up the stairs would have been a nightmare, it's huge!). I had to order the elastic couch connectors from Amazon and there wasn't a corresponding foot on the chaise to connect it to the sofa section, so I had to screw one of the spare feet which came with the couch (thankfully) onto the chaise to have a spot to wrap the connector around. This means the velcro cover doesn't fit that spot (as it's designed to be flush without a foot there) but once the sofa is on the floor it's not noticable. There's a little give with the elastic connectors so it doesn't perfectly reduce the gap between the two, but at least now the two parts don't go sliding away from each other on my hardwood floors when I sit down (or my dog jumps on it). Even so, they were still helpful in making suggestions when I emailed them to ask about connecting the sofas. All in all a great experience and would highly recommend. Would definitely use them again if I ever find a need for another sofa, and I love that with the modular idea, I have the option to make this sofa bigger if I ever move somewhere with more space. This review is long overdue. I’ve purchased 3 couches from this amazing company. I wanted a resto hardware cloud replica but a little less fluffy and then 2 pieces made from vegan leather. As a small biz owner myself, I experienced first hand the realities of the shipping and port chaos due to the pandemic, along with many other factors. I watched the exact ship that my couch was on and knew it was stuck in the absurd lineup at the time, like my vases, stem wraps and many other products I had ordered for my own company. After very poor auto generated on line customer service , I was finally able to show a seat cushion to Paige. Paige said the product I received was was defective. She agreed the smell was terrible and the cushions were not the same as the one in the show room. she ordered me a new sofa. I waited months for the second sofa, but when it arrived, it had the same CHEMICAL SMELL. I have since purchased an IKEA sofa as well as a Van Gogh sofa. Both smell totally fine and I love them. The Van Gogh sofa uses CertiPUR US certified foam. When I asked Alex (Paige’s Spous and couch haus owner) what standards they use to certify their foam (since they advertise it as non toxic, baby friendly, no voc’s etc) , Alex sent me an assurance letter from his manufacturer in China. It referred to the “yellow foam “as being tested. First of all, that is not a third party verification. Secondly, my foam is not yellow- it is green! And it has a strong, strong. chemical smell that can’t possibly be baby friendly! No one even wants to sit near it!!! After pointing this out to Alex, and going back and forward for weeks, Alex emailed me to say I could have a FULL REFUND. However, once the sofa was in his possession, he emailed me to say he would be WITHHOLDING a 400.00 restocking fee. Hmmmmm. Never before have I posted a poor review, but I feel duped. Be aware that Couch Haus is not a local company. They ship from China and my sofas were not the same quality as the one I sat on in Paige’s show room. Less

We absolutely LOVE our CouchHaus sofa! My partner and I bought a new home in October 2021 and wanted to upgrade our couch for our new space. We went to the CouchHaus showroom and were not disappointed. Despite the challenge of supply chain issues and the late arrival of our couch (as with any other furniture store), we received five-star customer service throughout the entire experience. The team was very accommodating and excellent at communicating. We opted for slip covers to be able to easily wash and dry our cushions. With a white couch and two cats (and two clumsy adults), we can't take any chances. While at first terrifying, we have removed many stains successfully including chocolate, hairballs and miscellaneous food. This couch is definitely pet-owner approved! (Note: we mentioned that we had pets at the initial consultation and they suggested what fabric type would be best - would recommend doing the same if you have kids or pets!) We shopped around for what felt like forever for the perfect couch but couldn’t find anything until we were recommend to Couch Haus and I’m so happy we were! Great customer service to custom design the exact sofa I wanted to fit in the perfect spot in my home, both the dimensions and fabric were customized. Good quality product and great modern design with clean lines. Very smooth ordering process with the Couch Haus team, however it took 4 months from order to delivery (which was expected). Cushions are a nice combo of firm and plush, I think it will take some time to become more comfortable to lounge on, the feathers often poke out of the seat cushions with a few coming out each time I sit on it. The back rest height is not the most comfortable, while the arm rest height is perfect (required to have the arm rest and back rest height the same unless I pay to customize). I wish the back rest was a bit higher to keep the back cushions upright, I suggest to always have this sofa up against a wall for support. Overall would recommend to people looking for a cloud sofa design that can be customized to your specifications. Less

We absolutely love our CouchHaus sectional!! They provided updates on manufacturing, shipping, and delivery & when our couch was delivered with the smallest hole they responded quickly and are sending a replacement cover. It’s also so comfortable and is very easy to clean!

I’m very mixed about my experience. I was heavily pregnant with twins when we went to the show room and I was made to take my shoes off which was terrible as I could not reach my feet. The purchasing was not a problem and I thought that the customization options were really above and beyond what other furniture stores were offering. Due to the pandemic our order was delayed three months past the expected arrival date which was a huge inconvenience as my babies arrived and I had no sofa. That being said CouchHaus was transparent about the delays and offered free delivery and other options to make up for that. When the couch arrived it was stained in places and had dirt on it from the factory. I ordered appropriate cleaner with the help of CouchHaus but some of the stains would not come out and at this point I have given up on getting them removed it’s just too much hassle and I don’t have the time to deal with it. I was also missing the elastics to hold the couch together and to my knowledge those were talked about when we ordered the couch but not put on the order. CouchHaus immediately ordered them and they arrived a couple weeks after the couch, so we appreciated that. As far as the quality of the couch, we are very happy with the dimensions of our couch and also how comfortable it is. We are not pleased with the quality of the pleather material and the stitching used. It stains horrendously and scratches at hardly a touch. Perhaps these issues are strictly related to that material and a cloth material would have been a better choice. Bottom line is, I gave this company $5700 for a sectional, and now, two years later, am utterly dissatisfied with the way it has held up and the quality of it. I straight up told her, if I could return this for a full refund, I would. The owner's partner got back to me via email in a condescending manner, refused to give me a call because of the tone in my emails (of course I was upset, being ignored and having to hound them), and advised my issue is due to "lack of maintenance". Do yourselves a favour, go to a bigger furniture store, West Elm, Pottery Barn, literally anywhere but here— they will ignore you once issues with your purchase arise. This place is a joke. It's still just as puffy, and very comfortable that I've fallen asleep on it several times! It really is a great couch and at a fantastic price compared to several other places we looked at. CouchHaus also helped us with our delivery in Alberta. While we did have to pay a small delivery charge, they were very willing to accommodate and try to help us as best as they could. Just keep that in mind if planning for your out of province delivery, it's only a curbside delivery. Although unwrapping and set up were a breeze, and took us less than an hour for everything, including clean up. Overall, we enjoyed working with Harrison at CouchHaus and really love our couch and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new cloud like couch. You won't be disappointed! Less

I want to preface my review by sharing some information from Consumer Protection BC, which is a provincial regulator responsible for enforcing laws in BC, including the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. These are regulations that your "small local business" is not exempt from, including the ones about specific instances that give the consumer the right to cancel their order, such as when a product never arrived. I have the right to cancel our distance sales contract for not receiving the goods within 30 days of the supply date. In my case, the supply date was Nov 2021. It is now Feb 2022. Not only is it unethical business practice to keep your customers' money for 6 months with no goods delivered, it's also ILLEGAL when you refused my request for a refund. Your company had 15 days to provide a refund after I requested it, but instead you offered me a laughable $200 reimbursement which I flat out shut down and told you I was going to pursue my refund. This was the last email correspondence I had with your company over a month ago, to which you have failed to respond. Alarmingly, there are others like me who have reached out to me describing themselves in similar scenarios. So if you find yourself reading this and are in the same situation, I encourage you to Google "Consumer Protection BC" for their website and access forms to help you get your money back. I’m not normally one to write bad reviews for small businesses but I wanted other people to know my experience before purchasing. (I’m not a Karen) I’ve had nothing but issues since ordering my couch. When I went to my appointment to view the couch, I drove to the address that was on their website and google, and it took me to the other side of Langley. Finally I was able to reach them to give me the proper address, which was in their residential home. During the height of the global pandemic we were welcomed at the door by the unmasked owners. Still I was excited to support a small local business and paid for the couch in full that day. I ordered my couch in July and did not receive it till November. I understand covid is delaying a lot of stuff, but if I was given a more accurate estimate, I probably would have ordered from another company. I waited to order other things for my apartment until the couch arrived, and because of that everything was delayed and I was left living in an empty apartment for months. I was under the impression that these were made in Canada and somewhat locally- and now by the sounds of it, these are being made offshore. When I was ordering this couch I was hoping to support a local small business, with more sustainable practices since each couch is made to order. I thought I was supporting Canadian workers as well. I also wanted to shop local in hopes that I wouldn’t have to deal with the shipping crisis during a global pandemic. Since ordering there really has not been a lot of updates or communication unless I initiated it. When updates were given, they weren’t followed up again to say there would be further delays. The feeling of this company taking my order and money then not following up, has left a bad taste in my mouth. On delivery day my couch was dropped off outside my apartment building in the rain, and not brought upstairs. Me and my boyfriend had to bring it up and assemble it ourselves. I now see on the website it does say that white glove service is an added fee, but this wasn’t ever discussed to me as an option in the numerous phone calls emails or the in person meeting. When making such a large purchase I assumed that it being delivered into my apartment was a given, as even smaller deliveries I’ve had have brought the items up for us. All these issues were brought up to the company and they refused to do anything for me. Although the couch is beautiful, I never want to deal with this kind of customer service ever again. Less

Pros: Great, fast and friendly correspondence. Great concept (customizable with limited to no extra costs, all material is removeable and washable. The cloud couch is modular and pieces can be moved around). Paige was very knowledgeable about the couch set and options. Lots of fabrics/colours to select from. Cons: The "show room" is a single cloud couch in what appears to be a personal residence/townhouse (ie the owner's personal couch), which we've never seen before and definitely were not expecting when making the 2+ hr round-trip while shopping for a 3K+ couch. We were expecting a commercial show room with many couch variations, many of which are seen on the Couch Haus' website. The "consultation" experience was extremely casual. The couch design is similar to what you'd find at RH, but with cost savings, which seem to come from outsource manufacturing oversees, and with some minor noticeable lack of attention to detail (ie some minor wear and tear on the material, design/material that wasn't as "clean" looking ie with how the velcro sits in relation to the fabric keeping taunt, and it didn't have the "cloud-like" feeling as expected, despite hoping to fall in love with the idea. We were also disappointed to learn that only the design is from BC, the manufacturing is outsourced. The wine-spill video was impressive (likely treated with some Scotch Guard). It would've been nice to see a live demo of the wine spill, and for test swatches to be available for take-home for colour samples etc. Understandably this is a start up, so everything is being done right. If you're looking for an affordable custom couch, this might be for you, but in the end the "show room" in a townhouse made us uneasy and raised some red flags (despite it being very clean and well designed), so we're taking a pass on this one. Took its time but it was well worth it! Exactly what I asked for, great quality and great delivery. They can make the couch however you want it, Paige will sit with you and go over every detail of the couch such as size, filling, arm rests, pillows, etc. to make sure you get exactly what you want. First off Paige is amazing! Beyond helpful and patient and accommodating. I feel like I got more information that I thought I needed in just a short consultation, and I’m so excited for my couch. She’s also easy to contact before and after the consultation so that’s a plus ! Highly recommend! This is going to be my number one brand for anything furniture moving forward.

I think this place is a SCAM - we paid for our couch in full in June and we have asked for updates and received none, I had to trick Paige into talking to us and she said an delivery email was sent, none arrived. Texted her to provide the email or call back, nothing, now I have no choice but to write bad reviews and waste my time.
