Whether your coming in as an athlete to train or an average enthusiast looking for a good workout, Kinitro will have something for you. I was here for a short stint of time but all the people at the gym and the employees were kind, considerate, and encouraging for whatever fitness goals somebody was coming in for. Accessibility - Hours of the gym are good. Because of how class oriented this gym is, you may have to work around groups if they require certain equipment for training on that day. Checking in/out is via front desk but if you are a frequent visitor, it is much faster. Lockers - There are some small lockers near the entrance that allows you to store your things away. The lock is built into the lockers so you don't need to worry about having one on hand. Cleanliness - Very clean space with proper cleaning stations when your done with the equipment. The place is always kept very tidy whenever I visited. Offerings - I cannot say much about this other than the classes but I feel like this is what makes this place special. You've got conditioning and strongman, of which the latter I participated in. Julie the instructor does a very good job of teaching correct form and pushing you when it matters. Everybody else in the class is also super encouraging and it makes you want to stay committed to the journey. Equipment - A standout of this gym imo. While there are machines available, the free weights / special equipment is the highlight. Perfect for anyone who is serious about their training. Price - As a regular gym for those who just want to train on their own, this place can be considered pricier. Combining with classes will be slightly more but is worth it. The main draw here compared to other gyms is how anyone coming in will not only have a great workout, but be part of an amazing community. Customer Service - Excellent. You won't be pushed to get anything you don't need. Your personal health and fitness is important here and it shows as Kinitro will work with providing the best plan for you. Cancellation is hassle-free and if anything comes up, your concern is always addressed promptly. Unfortunately, I had to leave Kinitro as I was moving cities but the community I made there is unforgettable. I've bounced around so many different kinds of fitness programs but strongman at Kinitro got me hooked. Not being able to find any equipment at other gyms on par with Kinitro, I decided to make my own in the garage. Hopefully I can come back someday to train again! Less

My improvements in muscle strength and endurance have been significant since joining. Not to mention, the gym itself is clean and well-equipped. I firmly believe that Kinitro is the best gym in Houston. If you work out in the mornings like me, I strongly recommend attending the Strength and Conditioning classes with Coach Mark! He takes the time to get to know all athletes and their needs/goals, and is constantly finding new ways for each athlete to challenge themselves. He has helped me with my form in all the major lifts (i.e. deadlift, back squat, and bench press), and he brings all the energy, which is much needed in the mornings. So I decided to make some changes; I swapped to this gym and signed up for personal training and group classes. At first, I was intimidated by the group class because I wasn't confident in keeping up with the others. That wasn't the case because everyone was rooting for each other, and they made sure that no one got left behind. If you have an opportunity, try to sign up for Personal Training with Coach Tony. Besides his energetic personality and motivation skills, I like how he knows to balance pushing you to surpass your limits and stopping you before you end up overworking yourself. In addition, he's a great teacher who puts in the effort to notice your weaknesses and create tailored workout plans to combat them. In the end, ever since I started to work out here, every time I leave after a workout session, I feel more accomplished and proud of myself. My program (she designed it specifically for me) consists of a combo of massage and resistance exercise in an effort to fix muscular imbalances which are contributing to poor biomechanics, injury, and consistent pain. Basically, she's re-training my posture and movement habits to be more efficient. I can't describe how reassuring it is to have an expert like Julie work toward my specific goals with my circumstances/injury history in mind. I have no doubt that my well-being is her top priority, as I always feel safe voicing any concerns about any discomfort during exercise. She is also always watching me to make sure each rep is done with proper form, which is incredibly helpful as I've done physical therapy with several other PTs in other facilities and they will often just tell me the exercise and then disappear for 10 minutes. I'm also impressed to know that she's thinking outside of our sessions about new exercises and massage techniques to improve my recovery and get better results. So she's easily the most attentive and invested trainer I could ask for. And I must add that her massage techniques are unlike any other. It's an incredibly effective combination of acupressure, deep tissue, stretching, and movement. Her ability to locate the problem areas and relieve them is borderline sorcery. She's also easily the strongest person to ever massage my stubborn muscles - and yet, it's only heavy pressure when it's absolutely necessary. A few thoughts on Kinitro as a facility - just amazing. You'll see a wide spectrum of people training there, from elderly physical therapy to professional athlete sport specific training. Everyone is always super friendly and you don't feel judged like you would at other gyms. It's also really clean and everyone practices great gym etiquette. Words cannot begin to describe this gym. The atmosphere is well above any other I’ve ever been to. The selection of weights, bars, machines, and plate loaded equipment is vast and always improving.

Joined here in April and have been going consistently every weekday. I love this gym they have a vast amount of equipment to unique training classes available to everyone no matter your experience level. The coaches are friendly, strong, experienced and very knowledgeable. I wish I would've started here sooner I highly recommend it.

The gym is super clean and has a lot of specialized equipment you can’t find at a lot of facilities. Everything is organized, top-of-the-line, and there’s plenty of space so you don’t feel crowded. The coaches are very experienced, approachable, and knowledgeable. 10/10 Recommend.

While I would love to take advantage of their wonderful facility, the commute isn’t realistic, I am loving the online training. John provided an effective and efficient program that catered to my very tight time frame, limited home workout equipment, and tiny workout space at home. From my classmates, to the instructor (Taylor), to the owner (John), everyone was so kind and made me feel comfortable in their space. Oh, by the way: THEIR SPACE!!! It’s a beautiful, huge, air-conditioned facility with turf, free weights, and a beautiful rig with space for the class and open gym at the same time. The workout I walked into utilized ski ergs, sleds, ropes, barbell, dumbbell, and body weight. One thing I loved is that (unlike typical CrossFit) there is no “class” clock. The workouts are completed at your own pace and you can keep your own time if you want, but you’re never asked to report a “score” or made to feel like you’re competing against your classmates, which made for a really cool experience. I was surprised how much this one small element changed the feel of the workout for me. I was appropriately challenged, but also able to scale down movements to suit my current ability (after almost 2 years off from these kinds of workouts), which I appreciated. The class had some members who were very fit and focused on performance, along with some members who were less experienced and likely focusing on general health or weight loss (like myself!). This gym is a real treasure, and I look forward to returning! Less

The new Kinitro Fitness gym is amazing! Lots of space and new equipment for a great workout. I love that the squat racks are multifunctional, so you can perform various workouts with it. The gym is very spacious and welcoming but there’s an abundance of free weights and upper body equipment and not a lot of lower body stuff like leg presses, etc. Also there was no one at the counter and I couldn’t find a worker to help me coz I couldn’t tell the difference between the employees and the members. The location is great and I’ll probably come back… on an upper body day.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike and Daisy on shoulder and hip pain that had accumulated over years of slouching at my desk. They both thoroughly evaluated my current condition and provided treatment on the spot. Moreover, they developed a workout plan targeting those specific areas to improve my overall health and life. When I entered the gym, I could barely lift my shoulder past 180 degrees. After working with both therapists, my shoulder now has a full rotation without pain. In additional to the medical treatment, the moral support and encouragement for someone who hasn't worked out in a while was uplifting. Mike worked with me the second day and found spots of my body a typical online workout plan would never think to work. This individualized treatment has me feeling like the high school version of myself again. The gym itself brings about a vibe that feels like your family wanting to see you perform at your best. I had a membership to one of the larger gyms in the Houston area, but decided to join this this gym when businesses were allowed to open again amidst this pandemic. I had a membership to one of the larger gyms, but I felt uncomfortable with the amount of people in there as well as the number of people not wearing masks during the workout, but I digress. Kinitro has the option of signing up for just the gym, or signing up for the gym as well as coach-led classes. I signed up for the coach led classes because like a lot of other people, I was complacent with my workouts, so I never pushed myself. With the coach led class, they want you to succeed, so they correct your form and the workouts change each class. I'd recommend the coach led class because for me, it just makes it easier to not think what I should do for my next workout when I'm working out on my own. Less

John is really nice about making sure that we have correct form rather than doing things quick and if he notices that we're struggling he makes sure that we take it slow and pace ourselves to prevent injuries. Also really like how he incorporate games to make the workout more fun and challenging forcing us to use our heads to think fast while reacting with our bodies. Everyone there is really nice, equipment is clean and a lot of it, you don't see at a normal gym. The owner & trainers take the time to explain how to use what's in the gym properly. They also provide supplemental services such as physical therapy, massage services and they have this machine that measures all your fat, muscle, whatever, you name it, in your body and how much more you need to lose to be healthy. The staff here at this gym makes working out fun! John is very knowledgeable about the mechanics of working out and explaining why we do something and what the benefits are. The workouts you do here translate into helping you accomplish tasks outside of the gym! John will motivate you and push you to be your best.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS GYM!! I had been looking for a good gym for a while that was the real deal and had people who would show you how to use all the equipment properly (because I had no clue how to), and Kinitro is better than what I had even hoped for. The classes are tough and will leave you sore, but in the best way. I started going back in August and go Monday-Saturday. It's always fun and after a long day at work I actually look forward to going as it always lifts my mood and helps me burn off some stress. I also sleep much better at night now. The trainers are fantastic, very kind and patient and good teachers. Even when I'm out of town and can't make it to their gym they give me modifications that I can do elsewhere and I feel so much more confident moving around any gym now, because I actually feel like I know what to do! Kinitro Fitness! I've been going consistently for about half a year and it's been amazing. Where to even start describing Kinitro.. Let's start off with the staff. John (the owner) and his staff are experts and you can definitely tell by the way they explain the benefits of each workout. John focuses on form to ensure I'm doing the work out properly without injuring myself. Even after half a year, John still keeps an eye on my form and corrects it when I forget certain details or lose my form when I get tired. I also goto Kinitro's boxing class every Sunday which is led by another instructor. The boxing instructor, whom is also a professional, concentrates on technique and skill. The same theory applies to boxing as to the work outs, form and technique is superior to the numbers. It makes things much less intimidating for a noobie like myself. I know if I wasn't at Kinitro, I would try to lift similar weights to the guy next to me just to keep up, but ultimately would end up injuring myself due to improper form. The numbers climb fast with proper technique. The equipment here is top notch. You can definitely tell by the large pins and thick welds (a trait of a design engineer to inspect things like this) that this equipment is safe and built to last. They look intimidating to someone who hasn't stepped in a gym before but John and his staff definitely eliminates all of those feelings. John is dedicated to Fitness and his members. Many smaller gyms I've been to, the owners are never around or can't be contacted. John makes sure he's there every step of the way, in and out of the gym. He's on your butt 24/7 or gives you the space you need depending on the type of person you are. He caters to each individual person rather than treats his customers as a number. Great place! Less
