See below: After a series of exchanged emails with Julie, the owner, this business has blocked me personally from being able to leave a review on their social media. I came here for help with hormones. I trusted the provider I signed up to get treatment from. She was suddenly no longer there and no one ever informed me. "I fell through the cracks in their systems." I was assured the new provider was just as good. To please give her a chance or I could have a refund for my entire prepaid year of care. I gave her a chance, and even she told me, she had no idea how to help; and ushered me off to buy some other supplement after I was left with dangerous testosterone levels and suffering! Days before my next appt, the owner TEXT me that this girl actually wasn't going to be able to come work there and I was going to be treated by a nurse who does Botox and injections! But she had "full confidence" in her. At this point, after being gaslit though calls, texts, and now emails, I kindly asked I get the second half of my money back, only to be told that all "discounts" offered to me when I paid up front would be reversed. Right down to the petty nickels and dimes on supplements I bought from them directly after being told I had to take them for my health! There was no contract, no explanation that if I was not satisfied with my care or unable to complete the year that I would have all discounts (also another thing not fully explained verbally or in writing) reversed and would not be getting anything back. Each of my blood draws I was left with bruising and blood down my arm by an inexperienced nurse. I have great veins and I have never had bruising like this in my life! The owner has acted not only in bad faith, but poor taste, and has spoken to me like IM the psycho. I'm left with my hormones completely unbalance and told to just sit here and wait it all out that they couldn't help me even if I DID stay with them! So why on earth would I continue my care?! This place is predatory. I won't even waste my breath on the terrible service I got at their spa for my massage, salt room and facial. Overpriced. Rude reception attendants, and frankly some of it felt kinda dirty. There's nothing high end about this place except their pricing. I truly hope no other woman experiences the suffering and near malpractice that I have. I would never bash a small business unless it was to warn someone else from being harmed. I was told I was free to leave a review and they could not do anything else for me. But then they quickly blocked me. What kind of business who claims to be honest and care about their patients would do that? Right. They wouldn't. Please take caution and find someplace else. I have receipts, emails, and plenty of proof of my treatment. I just hope this reviews saves even just one woman from having her health destroyed by this unethical and hateful place. Such a shame. Do not trust Brittany at Pura Vida med spa! I have an area on left cheek requiring filler from a disfigurement Brookes at Dr Garcia’s office CREATED in 2021. It was nothing short of torture having me return over and over but at the time I didn’t know what to do other than trust them. Bad idea, but basically the only thing we can do is keep it filled making it virtually undetectable. On the most recent trips to Pura Vida that’s all I wanted, just keep the area filled, but apparently Brittany decided to go in for the kill making a simple process look horrific. I NEVER gave Brittany authorization to dissolve anything nor touch me in areas we NEVER even discussed.nor marked. I contacted Julie, the owner, but she didn’t care and apparently pushes these girls to make money any way they can. Bottom line If you are mediocre and don’t care how you look then Pura Vida med spa might be the place for you but if you are beautiful or want to be beautiful don’t even consider this place. Is it a risk you are willing to take? Are any of these places in Jacksonville and surrounding areas truly compassionate and care? I felt I could trust Brittany after taking time to build a rapport but was wrong and completely caught off guard. My advice is don’t listen to their gaslighting tactics. It’s a lie! This subject is so important to me that I became a licensed aesthetician so I know much of what is happening but still didn’t save me from Brittany. The problem making it so difficult is lasers and injections do not necessarily happen immediately so you leave unaware of the damage.You gradually notice a difference in texture, color, elasticity, etc but by then it’s to late and will likely never be the same. You chase it out of desperation and brainwashed to think these places can fix you but it’s a lie to take your money. I spoke with an attorney who said I don’t look grotesque and not realistic to pay $250k for deposit on lawsuit you won’t win. Also said jurors on cosmetic related cases really have no sympathy unless we’ve been grotesquely disfigured. Are you kidding me? How are these places getting away with creating a hook to keep us requiring attention? Currently, after many months and filler to even out the damage It’s beginning to look undetectable again but only a matter of time when I’ll require more filler from the pocket Brookes created. No one should ever have to suffer the way I’ve suffered all created for the purpose of greed and or jealousy. Less
