On short notice, Thomas Kuoh and his associate Brandon captured highlights of our school’s Lunar New Year Lion Dance celebration so beautifully. The scene selection in the edits really captured the excitement of the students and the vibrancy of the performers, both from a Birds Eye view and on the ground. Thomas eased the way through our first team lifestyle photo shoot, as he chose the best light, background and composition for each location. He was a gently confident director, giving advice where needed in a positive and cheerful way. He also asked for our feedback as we went along, so he could develop a sense of which photos worked for us. That was a very thoughtful touch!

AMAZING is the best way to describe my session with Scott Murphy, from Thomas Kuoh's team! I had my lifestyle photo shoot with Scott this week. I was really nervous about getting it done — did I bring the right stuff? should I have worn the red jacket versus the black jacket? Will it be sunny enough for good photos? Good gosh, maybe I shouldn’t have booked 3 hours — I mean, really, what are we going to do for THREE FULL HOURS?! Wanted to let you both know how phenomenal Scott was today — he has an engaging way about him that immediately put me at ease from the beginning, and I have to tell you that the photo shoot was sooooo much fun! I could tell that he loves what he does and has a great eye for light, the right setup and positioning for the best shots. We started off in Berkeley — even on a cloudy day, Scott was able to recommend the best areas/setup for optimal results. We then headed off to Lake Merritt in Oakland for the second round of photos. He was super patient for clothing changes, open to suggestions for taking shots from different angles and just confident in his work, which in turn made it even more enjoyable!
