A story of dishonesty…
In June 2023, after meeting with the owner of I propel you, Tamara Williams, through a video call I purchased one of her most expensive packages which includes a resume, a cover letter, a LinkedIn profile update and a mock interview. The resume was supposed to be delivered in a matter of a week or so.
Long story short, she took the money but failed to deliver any of the services mentioned above.
From June until the end of August, as she was supposedly working on my resume, she mentioned several reasons to justify the extended delay such as “being hospitalized for food poisoning, launching a new service, writing a book and starting my resume from scratch”. I offered to pay more for the extra time if building my resume from my actual CV was an issue and I supported her by sending many detailed documents about my career and personal life. Unfortunately, it was never enough. She kept asking for more info which I provided as quickly as possible every time. I started noticing that during our meetings she was asking questions about information that I already had submitted multiple times in writing which was making it obvious to me that she was simply not putting the time to read the documentation that I was gathering and researching for her.
By the end of August, she stopped responding to my messages. When I tried to call her, it seemed like she had blocked my number as my calls were not going through anymore...
Be aware of the time limit to dispute a charge with your bank to get your money back. Fortunately, I succeeded in retrieving my money after going through an uneasy dispute process. I also took legal further actions for the prejudice caused.
You’ll be able to notice that it seems to be a repetitive pattern that happened to many clients of hers as described in some other poorly rated reviews.
