Of all the gyms I have been to there is none as welcoming and friendly as this CrossFit Catawba Valley. Everyone works together and cheers each other on. We're spoiled with great coaching at our home box in Chicago, so we always look for quality instruction and cues, individual attention without micromanagement, and solid programming. Ryan's coaching exceeded expectations in all those areas and in leading the class through a super-fun, challenging WOD -- the hour flew by for us. We ended up hanging around and chatting with the members for a while afterward as well, which to us always denotes a stellar CF community. My physical health is the most immediate thing people notice when they see me for the first time since beginning Crossfit here. However, I am most appreciative of the mental and social wellness I've found at CCV. The members care about each others success. It showed when I was introduced as a newbie to my first regular class, and it still shows when I go out to grab dinner with friends from class on a weekly basis now. CCV helped me get back to the feeling of being part of a team. They challenged me to be better, everyday. Not just the coaches, but my fellow classmates encourage and rally around each other. I dropped in a few weeks ago on my way back home from Arkansas. The facility is amazing. I went during their Open Gym time so I didn't really get a chance to speak to any of the actual athletes but just from speaking to Casey I could tell they were an awesome community.
