We were planning on having the wedding outside but 30 min before the wedding started we had to move the ceremony inside because the winds were blowing the arch away. It was functional and beautiful. This also goes for the bridal/groom suites which is rare to find! Hunter and Christine worked with our needs and had great communication. Absolutely beautiful venue, gorgeous lighting inside for photos, and the staff is wonderful!

Bartenders did not use the personalize monogrammed napkins that we gave them.Shaker bar also had us travel to the venue to taste test drinks…and then they said they didn’t have all of the ingredients. Unprofessional.I think rice or flowers would be easy to clean up with a leaf blower easily. Not sure why that wouldn’t be allowed for the send off.These are silly complaints, I know, but we really d... More

So I have no idea what they said, but I'm sure it was nice (the more I think about this, the madder I get as there was a lot of travel involved just to get there). The food was halfway decent at best, and I'm being very nice about that. When the parents spoke and addressed the crowd in the dining hall, the soud was so muffled that you could understand about every 5th word. We left asking how 🤔 does this happen at such a so-called premiere venue that I'm sure was not inexpensive. If you have an event here, I would highly suggest you address these issues before signing up and ask them these questions of why and how this could happen and why the food is so inadequate... We had our wedding at the Gardenia on February 29, 2024. We had a lovely experience from meeting the couple that manages the venue and appreciated that they don't have many exclusive-vendors. They were very good at keeping us updated and had a decent software for us to upload seating charts. The Gardenia is one of the few wedding venues I've seen that looked exactly as it looked in the pictures when I arrived which I appreciated. They are also very good at responding to any texts with questions you send at any time of the day.The reason for 4 stars is 1. They force you to use all of their rectangular farmhouse tables. So if you want to use circular tables you will have to mix and match. I'm sure they pointed this out when I toured the venue (to be honest I don't remember) but since I was so early in the wedding process I was not yet thinking about seating arrangements. The second reason I give them 4 stars is not really their fault but there is a train that runs close to the venue. On the day of my wedding, this train stopped on the tracks making it hard for guests and vendors to come through. I would've appreciated a disclaimer about this train and maybe would've asked guest to come an hour early just in case the train was stuck. While I realize this was not their fault, I wish they had been more transparent about it.Other than that, I loved the venue and managers and I had a wonderful wedding. Less

I loved the layout of the reception hall, the bar area was perfect for our Hot Cocoa bar. Working with Christine and Hunter was a joy. Our first tour with them was wonderful, and they answered all of our questions thoroughly. They were very responsive to my questions over text message, and we were able to tour the venue a couple of times throughout the year before the wedding so we could get a better feel for what our day was going to be like. I wasn’t sure if I should share my experience. After months of just thinking about how our situation was dealt with at The Gardenia. My stomach still can’t seem to settle.. The reason why I chose this venue for our wedding was not only because it is incredibly beautiful. But my mother’s favorite flower is Gardenia’s. I felt like God couldn’t give me a better sign than that! That’s my fault for thinking so. Everything was going great! The wedding day was approaching I fit in this beautiful wedding dress. All the wedding festivities had been so fun! Unfortunately for us my fiancé(still fiancé), his father, and brother got into an extremely bad car accident that left him without the ability of going to work for almost a little over a month. Being in sales that’s literally cutthroat. Even after returning for work he still had to have therapy 3-4 times a week because he ended up having 2 herniated disc in his spine. That can only get fixed with spinal surgery. We spoke to Hunter about our situation. The venue was 100% paid for so was everything else. We had to have the harsh decision of postponing the wedding. I obviously didn’t mind I was just great full to have my man. Upon our conversation with Hunter the owner of The Gardenia he let us know there was nothing he could do for us as we had already signed a contract for September 10th. We simply asked that sense the venue was 100% paid for if he could be so kind too move our date a few months so that we could still have our dream wedding. He let us know he had another couple who had just cancelled their date ( December 3,2023) We immediately thought Great! That was actually the original date we wanted! How ever, even after knowing he wouldn’t be able to fill either dates because they were so close in time. Even after the other couple had paid for and lost their deposit. He let us know that even after paying 100% of our venue we would still owe him an extra $5,000 if we wanted that extended grace. Our budget was tight. Unfortunately that $5,000 was not in the budget. It’s 2024 and we are starting our wedding planning all over again. I just can’t stop crying every time I think about a new venue. We live 10 hours from Dallas and about 12hours from the venue itself. My family and his family all live there. Dallas is home no mater where we go. It’s sad to say things won’t be the same for us. We will have to start planning a few trips again to find another venue. My fiancé has mentioned the idea of still having it there but I just have this bad taste in my mouth now. I would think there would have been some type of customer care especially after they share their own beautiful story behind the beginning of togetherness. All I really got was greed. You might be thinking well what about the other vendors? They were all more than willing to accommodate us and let us know all we had to do was let them know our new dates and they would be more than willing to show up. This is across the board from the DJ to the Photographer. If your thinking about signing just make sure that life doesn’t hit you to hard before your big date. I had an amazing experience from the start! The owners are such nice, helpful people - they answered all questions I had throughout the process and gave me advice when I needed it! Every part of the venue is BEAUTIFUL!! I could tell Hunter and Christine put thought into every little detail - the bridal and groom suite were perfect size and included everything necessary for a perfect day (counter space, mirrors, music, TVs, pool table, seating space, etc.) The online planner provided by the venue was a dream when determining table layout and seating chart for the reception! Hunter and Christine also provided detailed instructions for the day off and gave an outline and many reminders for deadlines before wedding day which was so helpful during the busy process of planning! Also helpful, the venue provided tables (including many large, beautiful farmhouse style tables) and chairs - and the venue staff arranged the tables according to my floor plan prior to my wedding day! The venue’s chapel, reception hall, and outdoor space offered such convenience for decorating (no need to tear down and set ip multiple times during the event) and was the perfect set up for smooth transitioning from ceremony to reception for guests. The chapel is beautifully simple and I loved the large window at the alter! The reception hall is also beautifully simple with white walls and touches of greenery lattices and barn doors - the open concept with high ceilings lined with string lights is gorgeous and perfect for any wedding style! I loved that my caterer had a specific space to set up our buffet behind a barn door and once everyone had been served, the door was closed and then buffet was hidden - allowing the chef and his team to clean up in privacy! I cannot say enough how beautiful the venue is, both inside and outside - this includes the landscape with a water fountain, pond and livestock in the back! Overall, I had an amazing experience - if you’re looking for a fun, convenient, and visually breathtaking wedding day, this venue is definitely the way to go! Less

Of course i had a little apprehension committing to promised on paper but after talking to Hunter, I KNEW this was going to be the one. He was so helpful and continued to keep us updated as construction progressed. I actually didn’t even make it out to the venue between its completion and our wedding but had absolutely no worried. It was BREATH TAKING. The view from every angle is STUNNING. It is truly what dreams are made of when it comes to a wedding venue. Christine was also so helpful in reminding me of deadlines for questionnaires and insurances they need and everything was exactly as we needed for the day off. This was actually the easiest yes of the whole wedding process (besides the groom of course). If you’re on the fence take this as your sign to say yes, although, if you see this place, I’m sure there isn’t even a question. However, it is a new venue, and therefor they’re looking for ways to collect as much money as possible. I was so excited for my wedding at The Gardenia on June 2, 2023. After some life-altering events, my fiancé and I had to cancel our dream wedding. Thankfully, it’s a year away in the most sought-after wedding month, so you would assume that vendors would give us grace. Most did. The Gardenia absolutely did not. Although our date will undoubtedly be rebooked, they are demanding a $750 “termination fee.” In my opinion, this is the most unethical, unnecessary and avoidable situation that any wedding venue would want. I would understand if they charged a lesser cost to account for their time. Or if they simply had to hold onto the money until someone officially rebooks. But instead of working with me, they are collecting $750 for providing NO service, on a date where they will also collect $7000 for another couples’ wedding. These aren’t the type of people you want to host your wedding. I’d suggest looking further. Less

Not many venues are even more beautiful in person than they are in their photos online. Absolutely beautiful venue.

It's a new venue that's still improving. It was really beautiful and the atmosphere was incredible. I thought the chapel and reception hall were way to echo-y and desperately need some sound dampening.The pews in the chapel we're very uncomfortable. Each slat of wood moved independently which made it hard to sit for the whole ceremony. If the boards were attached underneath it would make them bet... More

I thought the chapel and reception hall were way to echo-y and desperately need some sound dampening.The pews in the chapel we're very uncomfortable. Each slat of wood moved independently which made it hard to sit for the whole ceremony. If the boards were attached underneath it would make them better.The outdoor area looks like it was a work in progress. Some gardens, walkways and more outdoor seating would be awesome.I also noticed the grooms suite had no blinds or curtains on the windows. Made it kinda awkward for changing clothes. All these things are very fixable and would make this venue almost flawless if they were fixed. Less
