Talk about a hidden gem. We googled seafood spots and this came up. We traveled from Crystal Lake to Mount Prospect and it was worth the drive. There was 4 of us we ordered the catfish dinner with fry’s and corn, triple play with greens and fry's, lobster po boy with dirty rice and lobster dinner with potatoes and corn and dirty rice. Also we tried the bread pudding and the fried doughnuts again so good! When I tell y’all we were raving about it all and that’s so uncommon for everyone when we go out lol Everything was WELL seasoned tender and delicious!! The sauces were good as well. We’ll be definitely coming back to try more dishes. True Louisiana flavors. And I really loved the southern hospitality. The service was outstanding which is hard to come by these days. The owner took our order was cooking and served us like wow! She even brought us hush puppies since we were waiting for our food. Those were delicious too. I ordered the Catfish Dinner with fries and Cole slaw. The catfish was really good. The seasoning and breading was really good as well. The Cole slaw was delish as well. I was not a fan of the fries. Mainly because of my preference, I don't prefer stringy thin fries. If they were crinkle fries, it would be perfect. The only thing missing was a side of pickles and onions. I feel like you can't have catfish without pickles and onions. Overall it was a good meal. Less
