Small, made-to-order seafood shop. We've been a few times and never leave disappointment. Everything is very nicely done. Most of their menu is fried, but there are some grilled options. The grilled shrimp has amazing flavor. The sides are tasty, too. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. Most of the time, the chef greets us as we enjoy our meal. All that being said, almost every time we come, we're the only customers. These people are so kind, and the food is quality. This business deserves to flourish. Less

We went here for takeout after hearing so many positive reviews. My son wanted to try real southern style catfish and soul food so we gave it a try for takeout after he got a good report card. Place was busy with lots of orders so we had to wait a little bit even after ordering online in advance, but soooo worth it. I watched the chef make our food very fresh from the lobby because it's an open kitchen. Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent. My whole house of picky eaters all said it was the best fish/chicken/sides they'd ever had. My only complaint is, we were shorted 2 dinner rolls we had ordered probably due to how busy they were, but no big deal. We will order again soon. Lots of stuff on the menu we wanna try!! For 3 years, I have walked past this tiny restaurant and after dining in today, and I wish I had came sooner! I asked the owner Lisa what she recommend and one of the options was the fish and chips. New orleans style, cajun flavor fried chicken and seafood in surburbs??? Sign me up!!! I love new orleans style food and its hard to find one in Chicago, let alone in surburbs. I got chicken and fish combo, with some potato and corn. All I can say is, it was delicious. It is made to order, so although I was only one in the restaurant, it took a while for food to come out. But it was hot, good seasoning and delicious. I say it is a bit expensive but its worth it. Main was great, sides can be better. Less

Food was great! We tried the fried shrimp, fried catfish, wings, Cajun seasoned corn and red potatoes, cold slaw and one of the best bread pudding as dessert. I only wish they offered a better cut of French fries. Less

We popped in to surf’s up after getting some bubble tea next door, and it was great! We got the lobster, fish and shrimp roll and the grits. Both were very good. Service was excellent! Less

Starting off it didn’t smell like southern food at all. But I wanted to try it. The food is under seasoned and over cooked. the fries and potatoes are soggy. the corn appears like it was going bad before it was cooked. The breading isn’t right. This is accurate to west coast food.. but it’s definitely not golf coast southern style food. disappointed. Less
